A returned broken TV. The problem here is that those thin lines are very noticeable at times. Even worse, it means you might get a lot more appearing later. And reading reviews, it wont look that much better than the £300ish TCL Qled with 5 year warranty.

Miggy111

If the savings were genuine as shown on their website (£2799) it could be worth some consideration, but its £1299 at Currys so definitely not worth the punt imo

GoldieGoldsmith

These guys let me down on Black Friday on another TV this deal looks too good to be true

Shame. They're only small lines across the screen but I'd always see them because I know they're there.

Panasonic outlet. I constantly check but hadn't for a week or so, funnily enough someone mentioned on here about it. I went straight over and purchased it, couldn't believe my luck. Especially when it came and it's immaculate.

Where did you get the Panasonic one from all I can find is through ebay and its a lot more that you got it for?

Stonking price as nobody has any stock of this anywhere. I'd of had it if I hadn't just got the pano 58 800b for £499 from panasonic outlet. That was listed as refurbed, never been touched by the looks of it.

well said! seen the Samsung qe65q90t there last week for £1599.99 again only one in stock, with 1 years warranty, John Lewis & Dixons same model £1799.99 for 5 year warranty, "No Brainer to pay the extra" but I guess this is free advertisement for the relevant store.

risky as feck would only touch if there was an iron clad warranty with it ps wait a minute this is for one tv are we doing deals on here for one item jesus lol

WAS £2299.99 (lol) When was that I wonder? Launch price for 55 inch was £1,800 in April 2020. Sizes: 48in, 55in, 65in, 77in, due April/May LG OLED55CX5LB (£1800) / LG OLED55CX6LA (Dixons exclusive, £1800) / LG OLED55CXPUA ($1800)

Some people can't buy a new tv, even if it's £150-250 difference. I personally like to buy expensive products new/sealed with warranty as well so these deals aren't ideal for me either, but there are people out there with different requirements and different budgets. I just want to be able help anyone out by exposing a certain deal, and I guess I have because it's OOS.

Would be useful to include Grade A in the title.

Hang on...so these sound like the equivalent of Amazon Warehouse Like-New i.e. damaged box etc This TV is grade A. "Graded" televisions are items that High Street retailers can't sell on for various reasons. This may be because the TVs are surplus stock, end of line/discontinued models, 30 day customer returns, unwanted gifts, or items with damaged packaging. When the TVs come into us at Electronic World they are technically tested, processed, repackaged and offered for sale. Before sale, all televisions undergo a comprehensive quality control process by our engineers. In the majority of cases the item will be supplied with its original packaging and will be in excellent condition and are classed as "Grade A" - the items we sell are not used but can have minor signs of handling. If the original packaging is not supplied we will supply other secure packaging to keep the TV well protected in transit. Items are generally in excellent condition but can have some small marks on the outer casing/stand. Screens will be pristine unless otherwise mentioned. If there are any defects or noticeable marks/scratches we will attach pictures of the item and the description will detail any cosmetic damage on the items. All TVs sold on this website carry a 12 month 'return to base' warranty provided by ourselves (unless otherwise stated). Our guarantee on all of our products demonstrates our confidence in each and every product we sell. Upon collection the TV is unwrapped and you are given a demonstration of the TV for your peace of mind. This really is an amazing way to save hundreds off "Brand New" prices without sacrificing any of the quality or performance!

rev6

The large pixel refresh that happens after many hours checks voltage of each pixel and levels them out so the display will get dimmer over time.

Jonwillis

Not at all. And this is the issue with oled. Many don't understand what oled is and how it works. The o in oled is for organic. It has a limited lifespan, and if you keep say red or yellow on the screen it will wear down more in one place than another leading to "burn in" which is actually just uneven wear. Thus not covered by warranty as it's just how the display technology works

JeevenSD

Both rtings and hdtvtest say that there shouldn't be issues with burn in on these modern OLED tv's with normal varied use so it sort of makes sense that it's not included when you consider that but its really nice to have as a peace of mind thing especially for something of this cost.

(y) CX look good and have the same technology. Definitely wait. I wouldn't hurry to buy a new tv. With my dissapointed experience for such tv as was E7 which I loved. But now it look like they can't have proper product which would not disapoint in these prices.

prit224

im just using an old 40 inch cheap one until bf. glad to hear the sound is better. JL refunded me original purchase price for me e7 so will wait a few more weeks to see what the GX is looking like, also is 65"CX not far off the price might downgrade a touch just for the bigger size, havent decided yet.

Cherumvara

I didn't have much choice to be honest I had to take what was offered for the replacement. But its worth only for the speakers. E7 speaker was not great. I have to say even now the GX sound through soundbar and without it is great. And user experience menu and option for pictures and sound is much better. I woupd also consider Panasonic instead. But its up to you.

prit224

Looking to get this to replace my e7 as well but might wait till bf

Matthew_HarrisY2J

The GX models don't come with a stand and instead come with a wall mount which is the selling point of the GX as it sits flat to the wall with the mount apparently

Arrived today, brand new tv with sealed stand/remote/etc, looks completely unused. Thanks so much for the share, what a damned good deal! Panasonic gz950 for £750 is nuts

zeb.mattey

I called them up, apparently the panels are all unused or ex demo. A grade panels are unused and not demo units, theyre stock bought cheap because it was discontinued, store went bust or w/e. Trustpilot seems good so i trust em

rev6

It's fine to be paranoid. We don't know how this was used and if it's had a new panel.

zeb.mattey

Thanks for sharing the site man. Ignore the paranoid folk, failure rate on these is very low relatively, considering the prices on their site its a steal

zeb.mattey

This one looks basically perfect I think, impressive. Almost went for the TX-55EZ952B which is only £700, also a steal for a flagship OLED. Glad the screen is good, its very well reviewed

Can see this one is expired now, but nice find and thanks for sharing @Nima_Mirfakhraee - welcome to the site :)

Just for reference, Costco give a five year warranty on all tvs, and richer sounds give 6. I'd be checking those two places for a longlasting telly. It seems almost impossible to repair most modern tvs economically nowadays, so long warrantys are worthwhile.... If they are free.

Nima_Mirfakhraee

Appreciate the advice, there’s just so many to choose from and I use HUKD as a “go-to place” before I think of making a purchase! I’ve had the same LG TV for 9 years and hasn’t given me 1 problem. But I want to getter a bigger and newer set ideally with the expectation it will last as long as my current one(cheeky)

chancooluk

The 55PUS6754 was only £360 from Curry's a few days ago. It's the same TV with a different stand.

EndlessWaves

The TV market generally replaces the whole line-up at medium and large sizes with new revisions each year. AOC Philips uses the digit on the end of the model to denote year. Models ending 4 are 2019 and models ending 5 are 2020 (/12 is just the region IIRC). Most other manufacturers use letters at different points in the model name. Around this point we're starting to see many 2019 models become generally unavailable so the clearance deals stop and the prices can go back up on the few remaining units.

No, that’s where you’re wrong my friend. Read the customer reviews, Very have accepted the LG Nanocell returns due to poor light bleed so customers not out of pocket. Just another shocking LG product they bang out and customer service that’s either level with, or worst than Ryan Air..... and I’m an LG owner, OLED and others so speaking from experience.

malhal

I’m not surprised, since people have already taken the credit hit from buying from Very they are unlikely to return so Very can get away with selling defective panels.

replicant69

I’ve seen a lot of reviews of light bleed on these! Think on the Very.co.uk website had LOADS.... even uploaded pictures and returns, the light bleed on the Nanocell is appalling. Worth checking out before considering. Also don’t expect any support from LG, shocking customer service!! Worst I think I’ve ever dealt with!!

malhal

If anyone is brave enough to order I'd be interested to know the condition
