Stop calling things gaming pc when theyre not.

FuriousLlama_YT

Hi, in the website game you can get some support on what to buy and you can ask if it plays fortnite ect.

angelfire

So it’s Black Friday and I’ve been holding out for a gaming pc for my son. Can anyone tell me if there is anything on sale today sub £500 that I could buy for my son that will enable him to play Fortnite etc?

Onciul_Pavel

No problem mate , hope you'll find the system you're looking for , I'm still waiting to see any price drop on BF .

a42ant

That is really helpful advice. I really appreciate it. Thanks again

Can you build a better gaming PC for much cheaper than this? Doesn't have to be AAA, but I'm looking for something that will run most games at a playable level.

purplefleece

Amazing spec for this price

overlord1

Yes, They are very reliable they have a trust pilot rating of 8.5 with 823 review. I bought a machine from them admittedly with a bit higher specification and it been an absolutely fantastic machine.

Coheed-Cambria

Good man appreciate the response you have a good day bud.

Apex one if you upgrade the motherboard to b450. This one you are stuck with the most basic a320 motherboard which really is poor and doesnt allow overclocking (this chip does well with some basic overclocking). This pc also uses a no name power supply that isnt even rated on its efficiency suggesting it is poor quality. While the gpu is worse than the other one slightly, you can definitely upgrade the others one in the options (if I remember). Your best bet is customizing the apex one slightly. Realistically would spend slightly closer to the 500 mark for long term value for money

if it wasn't for the recent awd-it deals this would be decent, but considering the other one is £80 cheaper with a faster cpu this isnt so good, unless your terrified of installing windows.

Bobbystein

Deal was dead when the motherboard was an A320.

freezing cold, should be over £100 less for those specs(buy your own windows key would make it near £200). spend £80 more and get a 2600 you have 2 more cores and 8 more threads, a 1070 which is 20fps - 30fps more on average. spend £80 less and just get the extra 2 more cores and 8 more threads (240gb ssd instead of 1tb hdd (+£33)) also get free games spend £180 less and get a pc that performs exactly the same. (also spend £49 more and get a 2600) https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/ryzen-5-2600-39ghz-gtx-1070-8gb-64999-awd-it-3185133 https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/awd-stronghold-2600-six-core-39ghz-rx-580-8gb-desktop-gaming-pc-49994-awdit-3176575 https://www.awd-it.co.uk/awd-apex-legends-2300x-quad-core-4.0ghz-gtx-1060-desktop-gaming-pc.html also just buy your own windows licence. much cheaper, but even removing it off this build makes it overpriced.

I hadn't no, I was recommended this one by a friend and thought I'd share it

Found and ordered last night, cheapest I’ve found. Might be useful to some.

Unfortunately my mother board is an Asus sabertooth AMD socket, I feel this could be the bottle neck in my machines performance:@((

Nate1492

If just a gpu, get a 1070. I would suggest an i3 8100 or i5 8400. Great cpus at very good prices. 4 and 6 cores.

Maybe a newer Ryzen cpu? As your sli set up is more than capable of running games. What resolution and FPS are you aiming for?
