Brill... Can you find me one from Manchester in July or August please? Thanks Mr Thomas Cook 😁

venu44

Went to Bahia PrincipeTenerife Costa Adeje years ago and it was top drawer in the 2000’s. Fast forward to 2019 and it was EXACTLY the same, but by now very tired and out of date with competition. Seemed like it was now a ‘special offer!’ sort of hotel where there was always a sale on to visit.

sherific

Anyone else spot that 2? I stayed in one of the others in the complex. Loved it. Were unlucky with the weather, but couldn’t fault any other part of our stay.

Been there 3 times now. Place is amazing. But their prices never seem to go down only up.

Awesome resort. Stayed there a couple of times before we had kids. Last time we were circa 5k for the fortnight, so I expect it's a lot more now.

Good to see Glasgow deals posted on here. Not sure what the prices for Secret Maroma are these days but that’s a top notch hotel in the Maya.

Funny enough we were just reminiscing about our trip last night. @sussexroyal yes I'd agree, most of it's pretty bleak - the highlight seems to be the Plaza America's, mainly because it has an internet hotspot, This is where we tried to have lunch at a seafood restaurant, and every dish was off the menu, because they just had a rush of customers. It was 12:30,

Jacinto_Fernandes

The news has worked convincing you I see

sussexroyal

Enjoyed a lot of Cuba but Veradero environs just plain boring.

jsoap

It will be fine in your hotel. Outside of that you will find restaurants without food, supermarket shelves full of items nobody wants to buy, or items that they won't allow you to buy because they have sold their allocation for that day. Rum is cheap and easy to get but you will have to queue to get mixers or mineral water. Where you can sit in a bar and nobody will serve you because the locals are in. Where taxi drivers earn more in a day that doctors do in a month. It is an interesting enough place to visit, if only to see why communism failed.

teddyedward1

When we did 2 weeks AI at a different hotel, it was decent enough food & drink. I’m not one for lazing, so I’m off for a walk, we had bikes from the hotel, got on a local bus to the end of the Cayo & took in a few trips to sample the culture. Cuba is lovely & so are it’s people.

andy_mathiesonWna

Great find been there every year since 2011 was planning to give Orlando a miss this year but this is tempting We normally go for 2 weeks but its definitely worth going for a week though especially at this price just shame best park ticket deals are 2 weeks can't even sell unused weeks like you use to be able to

Gspaddock

I’m pleased for you pal, no really I am. I’m also really pleased I got to know how much you earn. Enjoy your holidays.

NibblyPig

I went and was bored after a week because I'd done everything. I took a domestic flight in the end for a few days elsewhere but I'd have been happier with just NYC. Once you factor in the cost of a domestic flight it's not really that much of a saving since nowhere in America is close.

you_gotta_be_kidding

New York is probably the exception, I'd happily go for 3-4 days over Xmas. But Florida is a different beast altogether, there's so much to do after that traveling days having 6 days is just not enough.

you_gotta_be_kidding

Always, it requires very specific computer science and engineering degrees and it's 4 X 8 week blocks in Dubai with 6-8 week gaps in between which I try and time for Christmas, summer and Halloween. Pays £90-£160k a year depending on experience. Plus all flights are with Emirates first class and I can bring my family out twice a year all paid. I've done it four years now and only intend on doing it for another two years. It's decent pay but hard away from family for so long.

I wouldn't say that "no one" would boycott Cyprus, ur probably right that it won't adversely affect the numbers going there and as with most things it will be yesterday's news

hearts

lol this IS NOT cheap where's the deal? XD But good try. Oh and on the other matter that has nothing to do with the deal. No one will boycott Cyprus because of this. There will be no adverse effect on tourism. Regardless of fault.

Steveyorkie

What's that mean? You know this is an English site and most of the million or so members only speak and read English??

Steveyorkie

Thousands of people visit and holiday in Cyprus without incident, this definitely would not deter me from going, the price may (annoyed)

katejones1

And you have no proof that the op "obviously" posted for reaction! Read both sides, have an opinion, it's a free country. I have my opinions and will await the outcome. The videos do exist, I chose not to watch them but many people have. My comments were purely because people are stating boycott the country. This will not affect tourism greatly and I for one, along with thousands of others will not change my travel plans. As I said, it's a damn site safer than the UK.

I don’t think price is anything special prices for turkey in June are regularly really cheap in June. Higher visa prices will put a lot of people off going. If you leave it to 4 weeks before you book you will pay much less

kidrock123

Danke schon.

deewbee

this is the official e-visa site - do NOT use any other !!! https://www.evisa.gov.tr/en/

MisterSkinflint

Hopefully not for the rest of your life....

trannyboy

Regards the Turkish visa,it used to be $20 and is now $35 but be very aware there are lots of scam websites that wlii try to charge you much more, when it was $20 from the official government website the scam websites were charging $70 and there was no guarantee you would get it. It takes a very careful few minutes to apply online, ANY mistakes whatsoever on your application with name, passport number or dates will render it invalid, having applied it is more or less instantly linked to your passport electronically so there really is no need to print it out unless you are travelling about alot where being stopped at a checkpoint could be a problem without a paper copy. It is valid for 90 days in it's 180 day validity .Turkey is much safer for tourists than some of the Spanish resorts that are overrun with drunken yob behaviour ,not always the British either.

Puerto Vallarta is incredibly safe, just come back myself. The only thing that will try and rob you are the taxi drivers with their gringo prices ( easy fix is to use a Uber )

Thanks for this, great deal, I have booked! I paid £2207 for 2 adults, 1 child & 1 infant. This also includes an upgrade to a jnr suite as they look like they have a bit more room for the kids! Worked out at £735 per adult/child. Very happy with that!

ellenw

Your saving £60 this way

VanessaWright99

I loved it last year, it was so much fun, no problems with drunks at all. Plenty of places to get away from people. Love the Pacific Mexico, so rustic and real. They are closing in August to refurb so I’m def going back in 2020

buzzard

I've been here too - noisy because it's full of people drinking themselves stupid and the bad design means noise echoes along the corridors. OK for drunks.

Cheap, but not great country in my opinion for tourism .

yozzas

Not heard anything good about Bulgaria to be honest

madiazx

Hard to believe the price was £1226 for a 2A and 1C (skeptical) . Heat anyway

madmaggs

Stayed at this hotel in 2017 after the refurb great hotel 5 minute stroll to the beach and 10mins to flower street where you find the nightclubs. 🔥🔥

rickfear

Went to Sunny Beach a few years ago, the hotel was amazing, but once leaving the hotel found the town to be a bit grubby, with lots of stray dogs and beggars. But, seeing as this is all inclusive there wouldn't be much need to leave the hotel. Lots of heat!
