I'll buy 2 copies to make up for the sale they lost to you.

Thanks for the heads up.

Will have to check the exact / finer details on this offer. There must be terms and conditions!!

I spend about 45 a fortnight there so will be pretty handy, depending on expiry dates and terms, may buy a few copies, just dont expect me to read the rest of the trash.

I never buy any paper, I am also not keen on watching the news on telly. I don't know half the stuff that is happening unless I read it on the net. News is 60% bad news and the rest gossip or celeb following. I can Twitter if I wanna know what Fern is doing this week etc... What did the Sun do to 96?

how is it a screw over for staff. You can't bankrupt the company your working for neither

Lied to sell papers. Accused Liverpool fans of pickpocketing the dead. Later admitted it was a huge mistake on their part. Absolutely disgraceful.

Yeah, we get it.

The Sun are scum.

Alot of things happened in 96, Hillsborough I get it now. Well most of the stuff that is in a newspaper is fake but alot of people have a routine of having to get a daily for fear of missing something. If it is that important, will newsflash current regional/national tv program otherwise I don't need to know.

I am guessing that you will need to collect so many vouchers to get the £5 off a £30 spend and not 6 weeks worth of £5 offs - though thinking about it Morrisons did a similar deal last year which I am sure was £5 off each week for 6 weeks ... Nice one though however it turns out!!:-D

Full details, taken from MSE:

Grab a copy of The Sun (30p weekdays 60p on Sat) from Mon 18 - Sat 23 May, and the News of the World on Sun 24 May (£1) and inside every issue you'll find a voucher entitling you to £5 off a £30 spend at Morrisons. If you grab all six, that's a total saving of £31.90 after the initial £3.10 newspaper spend.

Each voucher will be valid for a different week for six weeks until Sat 28 June 09. The News of the World voucher will be valid for the week after it's published from Sun 24 - Sun 31 May.

Each spend at Morrisons must be above £30 to use your voucher and cannot include items such as tobacco, lottery tickets, phone top ups, dry cleaning, gift vouchers, saver stamps, prescription medicines or purchases made separately at the audio counter. The £30 must be spent in one single transaction and only one voucher can be used at a time.

The vouchers are valid at all Morrisons stores excluding petrol filling stations.

wonder if u can use them in tesco like last time

Can also be used in Tesco, they accept other supermarkets conditional spend coupons

Thanks 4 that Harriet

cool, I think you can use it for video games as well....

From what was posted above, it seems you won't be able to use it for games or cd's

Aww those are my favourite items, except for booze. £30 of booze a week it is then!

Seriously hot! Thanks for the heads up OP

as long as you buy the game/cd's at the pain till point rather than at a seperate audio counter, you should be fine in using the voucher for this, especially given not all stores have a seperate audio counter

It doesn't mention anything about staff discount. Does anyone know if you can use the voucher then your staff discount?

I normally spend between £60 and £80 a week in morrisons. If they don't let you use both, I will put up around £30 worth use the £5 voucher then get my 10% staff discount off the rest. I'll only make £2 out of it this way but £2 is better than nothing. It was the same last year with that £20 voucher thing they did at Christmas.

great I will buy so I can use them at tesco my nearest morrisons is 25miles away

There's another way to look at it is that by selflessly purchasing this for your own ends, and immediately binning it, you are removing 1 issue from circulation which might otherwise fall into the hands of the weak and feeble-minded populace!

You would actually be doing society a service by doing this!

Surely you'll buy 2 copies of the sun and do your shop in 2 loads. That way you'll make 4 pounds - less the cost of the papers.

I often go thro' peoples green bins to find vouchers in newspapers, just choose the right looking house and bingo................rough-looking council house= the Sun, nice detached= the Times, semi with veg garden=guardian, oap bungalow=the Daily Mail . I have saved a fortune in not buying the paper and using vouchers

96 people died, and they should be the central point of any reference to the Hillsborough Disaster, rather than this bitter, hate-fuelled 'justice' campaign against South Yorks Police, the stewards, and the Sun. The 'justice' mob have lost focus and it's now all centred on finding someone to blame.

Fair enough, you don't buy the Sun. But why the need to provoke a reaction everytime its mentioned, especially trying to take the moral high ground. Let's not forget the age old argument over whether newspapers shape people's opinions, or that people buy newspapers that already agree with their point of view. I agree with you, that the Sun should not have printed what they did, but I feel the whole thing has lost it's original focus.

I know this will be controversial but **** it, we managed to have a sensible discussion about it all on a Wolves message board so hopefuly there'll be one here.
