Mine arrived yesterday. Went for 140bhp version in white. Really nippy and all the technology I need inside. Really happy with this deal. Cheers OP.

Pimpson

Yeah, I need to shift my old Clio. Served me well for the 10 years I owned it. This fiesta will be like a space ship in comparison (excited)

Un19ed82

Next week unfortunately but I still need to shift the old car too!!

Pimpson

Did anyone else go with this deal? Mine arrives tomorrow.

Again then, not a lot of cash in the grand scheme, you could end up leaving more fuel in it than that.

It's about £11 if I have to pay an excess mileage fee at the end of the contract.

It don’t matter. 200 and something miles I wouldn’t have done so I wouldn’t be accepting it

Just curious, anyone who went for this, or other Skoda deals, what letter does your numberplate start with?

thelatics

Really! Blimey it was a quick-one. How engines have changed (I suppose a turbo helps).

deleted90968

Only if you enhanced it, because from standard the SIerra had less power, less torque and more weight.

why do you care ? It goes back after 2 years.

I just called and got Catherine Macmullan there, She is looking after this deal, asked them to up the mileage to what I needed they still came out about £40 a month less than any other offer I could find also I checked the delivery mileage question turns out its the finance provider which determines if the delivery is part of the deal or the contract starts from delivered miles , so its different for different deals .... on these vans she said this finance provider allows for delivery mileage up to 150 miles, then it comes off allowance. but the excess is small (mines 3.87 pence per mile over...)so even if you did over shoot the damage will be minimal She did say though there are only 50 so its first come first served once they are gone thats it back u to standard prices. I'd dispute that all the way to court. Your agreement is for your use, not theirs!

I've currently have a Skoda Yeti from Fleetprices. It took over 6 months to arrive but I don't think that was their fault. A word of warning about them though. They will deliver the vehicle by driving it to you from whatever dealer they use. The mileage used in the delivery to you is part of your 8,000 miles allowance! Mine came from Wales and had 200 miles on it and they are insistent that I now only have 7,800 to use before incurring extra mileage charges!

eslick

For a small business which doesn’t travel about all day but goes to a single place of business and sits for most of the day and does occasional deliveries and maybe cash and carry type runs 10k would be enough. Using it as white van man you are right.

All mpg's will never be reached, but some company's certainly do bluff more than others. I always thought tests were done by an impartial body? Like you, I've never ever come near to getting the mpg's in illustration. My mates had 2 new 1.0 ford Fiesta Eco-boosts. He has opted for these in the belief that they proper surpassed in the fuel efficiency stakes when compared with the Fiesta 1.25 engine, which incidentally Ford still manufacture. He says his last 1.25 Fiesta was about the same as his two newer Eco-boost engined 1.0 litre cars he has owned, but did say the torque and acceleration were phenomenal in comparison! When I were a lad I remember trying to scrape 25mpg out of my old 1300 Ford Cortina aged 17, and 28 out of my 2000 rwd Vauxhall Cavalier soon after lol (y)

It's a valid concern. I am 14 months into my first lease (24 months). My car was in stock so turn around was 2 weeks. There are loads of those around for great deals. If you want a factory order, probably start looking 6-8 months before the end. Also done companies will allow you to extend. I'm with Audi finance and expect they will allow it.

Guys can anyone advise me on a good deal for leasing a 7 seater car? I'm clueless with these things!

I've just started year 2 of a 24 month lease on a Tiggy and I have had this issue. Whenever it happened the car made a loud beeping noise and logged a fault on the infotainment system...it also had a bright orange triangle on the dashboard so that I knew something wasn't right. It is fixed by a 10 minute software update at your local VW garage. Failing that, mine always reset the fault if I stopped the car, took the key out of the ignition, and then re-inserted and started the car. You fathers may be a different issue but it was hard to miss the fact that there was a fault. I have the SEL version with the 150bhp TDI engine....not the most exciting car ever but it is a decent sized, dependable family workhorse until the midlife crisis sets in next year and forces me to pick up a cheap Golf R or Octavia VRS on lease.

m5rcc

£242.26 or £6.73/net/mth cheaper via Breeze VW:

damadgeruk

That's terrible. Possible handbrake failure has been with us as long as we've had cars, I thought everyone left their car in gear? It's effectively impossible to leave an automatic in neutral, or an old SAAB.

wgeorge9990

I am still not decided on these yet. My biggest concern for me is driving position. I'm quite tall, and I found that the arm rest was just so low down. To compensate I reduced the height of the seat, but then I just lost all sense of that great high up driving position you achieve in this style of car. It has really put me off. Got a full day test drive on Friday to see what it's like to live with. Bit fussy I know, but it's a lot of money for something you don't like spending your commuting time in!

hyenadog

Be careful with the latest gen Tiguan in particular this model, there’s a recall on the horrendously dangerous auto parking brake .. in my fathers case his rolled backwards fortunately in to the garage door rather than one of the grandkids or dogs .. make sure the recall has been carried out if it’s already imported stock

Wish I'd known that before my wife shut the keys in the boot hinge and buckled the panel. Not sure yet how much that's going to cost us. Can you share more about these policies? Where/who do I go to to get one?

's and it started rusting Ehh the 90's are quite some time ago. My dad had a Mercedes in the Late 90's and within 4 years all the wheel arches started rusting badly. Was common, Mercedes cut down on paint costs and they all rusted http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/caradvice/honestjohn/10946913/Why-is-my-Mercedes-rusting.html What a terrible car that was, Mercedes had to replace the front panels.

I worry that some people don't work out which is the cheaper option for them and end up leasing for longer than they should.

m5rcc

Are those the same people who think they're getting a great deal with the 'scrappage' offers currently being offered by desperate manufacturers?

MIDURIX

You'd be surprised. I've seen a few threads in here where people are contemplating between two 'deals' they have been offered by a car salesman only to find (after someone of here points it out) they are paying well above the drivethedeal price.
