Link just takes me to my foodhub account, I can't see anywhere to sign up for email codes. Am I missing something? HOT by the way.

Nice! This is the way
Got the dreaded cancelled order email first time for me but seems like it happens all the time on foodhub to others, i knew it was going to happen as the last 2 times they have come to my door asking for full price i always had to show then the order page and told them take it away if they wanted to be funny.

New place opened up in my area, which uses foodhub. Might give this a go.

Yeah foodhub vendors are the worst because the dodgy ones are always erasing bad feedback so they can act however they like..

Which sucks if you've been waiting for hours after trying to get through then they decide not to deliver, and worse if you paid online and they don't go through the proper cancellation procedure (happens a lot) then they keep the money which is insult to injury.

After a couple hours of trying to get through, when you work out it's not coming everywhere else is shut for delivery and you're out of pocket and hungry. You can leave a review but it will be deleted and they can screw dozens of other people without recourse. There's nothing stopping them ripping you off if you've paid upfront. Except I had some success once via escalations giving solicitor threats to FH.. finally refunded that time but wasted hours over several days just to get a refund so no win really.

If it's happened a bunch times to me it's happened to countless people.

The £5 off £10 deal made it worth the risk

Strange the takeaway owners would behave like this as FOODHUB fully reimburse takeaways for any codes customers have used. The takeaway never lose out.

Because some takeaway owners are very selfish and resent that they serve people for a living. They cash in by trying it on in many ways.. whether by keeping the money from a percentage of orders they have no inclination to fill, or in this case they have a scam where they go up to many customers houses on delivery and request £5 then they claim it back from FH. Effectively robbing a bunch of customers of £5 every night, adds up after so many weeks.

Sad thing is it's the elderly and poor single parents, and people who are trusting and not naturally critical, who hand the money over out of politeness to not disappoint the guy. Sad.

You are quite right. That is despicable. Such a shame that nasty people like that exist.

Haha oh god, I can believe it! Shocking though that they probably do that to many families and see how much money they can get..

These kind of shop owners must see FH voucher events as some kind of windfall season where they are granted licence to waltz up to customers houses and demand free money

Its strange to me as my brother runs a takeaway and promotes these codes on his business page. He cant understand why takeaway owners are doing as you describe.
Where there is a system ... some greedy FKers will find a way to play it

I always pay cash and when it comes and they ask for more i say i dont want it take it back, they soon change their tune its so obvious what they are trying to do, now they just cancel my order as they know i'm not playing their game.

it's horrendously overpriced in the first place. £8.99 for a tiny chicken burger etc.. the 50% off to make people think they're getting a good deal, but happens to work perfectly with the £5 off codes haha
