It is but you don't have to even register. Just don't log in.
Mishandled/abused a package of mine and refused to compensate me. Wouldn't touch them.
Thought the confirmation email would clear things up but unlike just about every other courier service, they don't seem to send one so I'm going to have to wait and see what actually comes off my credit card and get in touch if it's wrong....
Second time i ordered a collection they did not turn up , Said collection was not 100% guaranteed , I can understand not being able to guarantee delivery but collection ? ? ? ?
Anyway spoke to live chat and they refunded me and are doing this delivery for free plus a £10 credit for next time .
Very happy with them .
And before anyone asks , its is very difficult to get great candy in the part of Denmark my mate lives so i send him a box full once every two months ..
Got the confirmation emails through eventually but typically they make no mention of price paid so I will have to wait and see what is taken from my credit card.
Opposite experience for balance... I sent a controller to someone and it arrived damaged. It was sent back to me and Parcel2go paid out the full insurance cost. Excellent service which I have been using for many years.
Yes, according to their lists, hardly anything actually is covered though in my experience that isn't strictly true as I have had a couple of electrical items lost and damaged with MyHermes and they have compensated me despite them not technically being covered, for example I had a scanner where they managed to smash all the glass on the front and they paid for that in full and a desktop pc where the case got dented, which they also paid for.
Still I suspect like everything it depends who you deal with and if they wanted to be ackward they probably could get away without compensating as per their T&Cs but my experience of myhermes and their customer support has been excellent so far!
I agree just had issues with dpd and these guys was suppose to chase it up and get back to me within 24hr been 4 days and nothing plus they wont give me some money back after a next day delivery took 2 weeks to get there.
Not really. I often use them for sending my sold eBay item. Had no problem with them at all.
parcel2go.com/pro…ems
So even if you have a legit claim, in that UPS/MyHermes etc completely failed to give your package the due care you paid for they dont have to (most likely won't either) accept a claim for damages since the terms of service allow them to do that. The actual courier wont accept a claim from you since you have to do it through Parcel2Go, and P2Go can use their terms of service to avoid the claim too.
I had them tell me that they dont actually touch the parcels so they can't guarantee a safe delivery.
Insurance might change their stance on a pay out for damages but it shouldn't be required to get your parcel from A to B in one piece
You don't, it asks for payment details regardless. As the code is only for up to £5 I imagine they have to allow for cases where the total is over £5 and hence will ask for payment details regardless. What I recommend is taking a screenshot of the page where it shows you qualified for the free delivery then if you find anything taken out of your card (or other payment method) you have proof you can argue for your payment back with.
I also noticed that even if the service you buy is well under £5, you still get charged for the insurance separately, seems it is considered separately to the actual parcel delivery, which is weird....
I'd advise people to go with drop off services if possible as alot of these courier drivers are overworked with deliveries and pick ups that they can't actually complete them all. So that would save you waiting in and being disappointed. Some of the more expensive couriers are a bit better for collections.
Read the list regarding what items are not covered by insurance and if it is decide if it is worth covering. You also routinely need to provide proof of value in the event of loss eg. receipt. Royal Mail is the same. I find RM don't pay out as they also require the recipient to return a claim form and for ebay buyers.. most of the time i find they don't so the insurance cover is effectively useless.
#don't quote me in court though, might not stand up
I just used the code to send a parcel to USA, worked. Thank you.
At the last page before the payment. There is a small life on bottom left corner that if you have promo code Click here.
Thank you very much for your help much appreciated
It does not work?
