Sup folks. So I figured I'd pop a quick post in here to try and dispel some of the wild conspiracy theories going on. We (Dealspwn) received an email from Gamerabilia notifying us of the voucher code the other day. That's it -- they're not paying us, we don't get an affiliate kickback from them, there have been no clandestine meetings in seedy bars with dubious cocktails and fizzling neon lights. Given that it's a respectable site (we tend not to post eBay deals unless they come from trade outlet pages because we can't vouch for individual sellers) and that some prefer not to import stuff, we ran the voucher in perfectly good faith. Feedback's been positive overall, so I count that as a win.
There's a certain item I'm desperate for on this site but delivery counts for 40% of the price. Completely unreasonable.
I don't know/care about whether or not this was deliberate promotion for the site, but I do think it should have just been the promo code posted in the vouchers section. Generally speaking, this site's prices are entirely typical of other sites that sell such items, and especially not so great by the time you've added on the hefty £4.99 delivery charge for orders under £50. It doesn't even cost me that much to have stuff sent from Japan!
The K'Nex Mario Kart Thwomp set is half that price new on eBay..
Yeah you won't find this any cheaper than £40. If you want one then you can buy it from this guy on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Figma-153-The-Legend-of-Zelda-Skyward-Sword-Link-action-figure-Max-Factory-/380871716688?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item58adb92f50 You won't get custom for it so in the end it's a bit cheaper than memorabilia. Though it's a good idea to be on a look out for gaming merchandise from goodsmile, they make some pretty cool figures.
