The best ones in my opinion are the Unlock ones. They are more expensive - you can get them on offer in Zatu for around £20-25 but there are 3 games in a box and after completing you can either sell it or give it to someone. Also, there is an app which makes it more fun. If you wanna try them I think they do some free ones which you can print off and check if you like them :) With the exit ones some of them were fun but some were quite annoying as the puzzles were just weird. I noticed that probably the newer released ones are better. Most likely you would have to destroy some part of it, so it's "one off" play, that's quite important to know. There are also "deckscape" escape rooms, they are around £10 as well and there is no need to destroy anything so it can be passed to someone else after playing. They are ok I would say. There is plenty more but I think those three types are the best to try. I checked out Trapped last week (they sell it in Argos) and it is mostly for kids I would say so if you want family game, go for it, otherwise don't. Hope that helps a little :)
Ohhh I love the Unlock ones! I literally played them all (embarrassed)
Yep, I’ve played a good few of these and they’re a really fun way to spend an hour or two on a Saturday night. I’d recommend on playing It between 2 of you (or 3 at max) and maybe starting with one at a difficult level of 2.
Can't speak for Exit, have one, but yet to play it. We have played a lot of the Unlock games that are similar. I think they are definitely worth it, but worth keeping in mind that these are single play games. The Unlock games technically can be played again, except you will know the puzzles. However, with the Exit games, I believe that parts of the game are destroyed during game play. The way to think about the games is that its £10 for an hour of entertainment, and rather than being compared to a replayable board game, you should compare it to what similar entertainment £10 would get. e.g. you would struggle to get an hour of bowling for 4 or a cinema trip for £10, so in that regard, its definitely worth it in my opinion.
Yeah, can confirm my local Lidl had a couple different Exit games for £10 Are they worth it?
