Aha, sneaky, I hadn't spotted that :/ Well, am sure they'll do the black Friday deals again in November if you can hold out till then, I know at least SBS has done -20% site wide for the last few years. With the current climate it wouldn't surprise me if there were a few more sales to try and shift stock, I know M&P did one the other month. I think I'm signed up to too many bike mailing lists :/
Nice shout, though everything I'm after they seem to have blocked the discount by already knocking off £4. Meaning code won't work due to not being full price. Nice to see some biker deals on UKHD (y) 🏻
Not sure about them being Visordown, wasn't aware they were but they could be(?) Been to the Leeds branch a few times, last one being to kit my OH out with new textiles and helmet. Service was pretty good. Also got some A* SMX gloves earlier this year as they were the cheapest I could find. Can't say for sure how they stack up with SBS, as they've given me good prices on things before (SBS usually have good Black Friday deals), but GetGeared have been cheaper than Infinity whenever I've compared those two. GetGeared do (certainly did) offer 10% discount for IAM, but IIRC I've only seen one 20% discount code for GetGeared, which I think they mailed on my birthday a few years ago, but they seem to have stopped that promo now... worked out well for picking up a drift 4k cheap the other year :)
Isn't this visordowns' shop? How's their prices compared to sports bike shop?
15% off on £50 min spend using discount code @ Get Geared
Shame they're only available in XL, good price though!
I've had these gloves for a couple of years (and Scottish winters). I don't think you can find much better without spending silly money on heated gloves. The backs are more thickly insulated than the fronts so they work amazingly with heated grips. Good find OP!
Oh, and they came with some fairly dense rubber foam knee protectors fitted.
Received these today. They look great, although a bit baggy, but they'll be the perfect size to go over my boots. The quality is highly dubious though: the label states that they come with a leather belt when they came with a very cheap very crappy webbing belt and the Velcro holding the lfet pocket flap is barely attached. I would guess that these are seconds being sold as perfect. I doubt that they are fakes though, as the buttons and rivets all look correct and are Held branded. Still, pretty good for £50, but not as good as I'd hoped.
It states item no longer available?
Heard about these Kevlar long johns, but never tried them. Are they tight to your skin like ordinary long johns ?.... If so, I would imagine they are really hot to wear, as opposed to Kevlar Jeans where you have more air around your legs. With no experience of them, I'm interested to know what they're like.
Good deal, been after some decent strides for a while for my short cross town commute to work
