Received email stating they'll have stock end of week.
I think they're thinking of Canon nifty fifty which is an unfair comparison.
How?! It's as sharp as the 50mm g master!
Cheapest it has ever been brand new so far as I can tell, though. And most used prices are higher. Usually when there's cashback offers the price sticks at £699. I think it could even be a price error and they're intending to show the "after caschback" price, and charge you £699. Cheapest it has been at Amazon in the last year is £625.63. Cheapest ever at Amazon is £583.16 in December 2014. (I'm guessing cashback wasn't available at these times). If you just want a cheap 50mm more comparable with Canon's nifty fifty then there's this for £159 https://www.castlecameras.co.uk/sony-fe-50mm-f18/p3467 Another worth considering is the Sigma 50mm f1.4 art https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07B9S8DN6/

"Sorry but poster needs to google a bit first - not a hot deal I'm afraid." hmmm link of amazon selling this for 699? all i can see is a random seller selling it who wont qualify for cashback doesn't appear on camelcamel either i do see them selling body only for 779 though
Way cold - only £669 at Amazon + get £50 cashback from Canon Sorry but poster needs to google a bit first - not a hot deal I'm afraid. I bought the advanced model of the 800D - the 77D for £459.10 with cashback last week from Amazon (Body only). Lens is £157.96 without checking anywhere else.
The camera has a good review at http://www.kenrockwell.com/fuji/x-e2s.htmIts the lowest price for the camera body when new, from a UK seller:http://www.camerapricebuster.co.uk/g/Fujifilm_X-E2S_Camera_Body_graph.pngIf you also need a lens, like the 18-55mm zoom, it might be cheaper to buy it as a bundle
Another option, refurbished - http://shop.fujifilm.co.uk/fujifilm-x-e2s-body-only-refurbished.html

Am I missing something? Only £100 cash back on this.

'Problem' with the lens is that for pro wedding / portrait photographers it does'nt go down to 2.8 but in compensation it has a very good range. So its value second hand is always going to be a bit less than a 2.8 lens. It depends what type of photographer you are and what situations it will be used in. But its still a very good price.
