Received my omd em1 ii from hdew. Lovely quality camera. Much more snappy performance than my em10 ii. Shutter action feels so nice and grip is great. Glad I have upgraded.

Just took the plunge. Free delivery this weekend, so OP could update the price to £619 :)

Received mine yesterday from HDEW and wow, what a little beauty.... I have my Panasonic 1.7 20mm pancake on at the moment, loving the ergonomics and how light it feels with this lens, and loving the images coming out already. Can't wait for my first trip out and aboutm, just need some nice weather!

Has been for a while. Think you need to add postage at £9.99

Now down to £619 at HDEW.

Yep, my first order with them. Thankfully went smoothly, but if anything goes wrong it's a risk you take, pay with paypal/credit card I guess for extra protection. Had a few orders with eGlobal that went well too, never a problem.

Was that the first time using TecoBuy? Look like e-global who were hit and miss.

It's now £119 on HDEW. £78 on TecoBuy. I just got delivery. Took 2 weeks but was fully tracked, and no import charges.

Thanks. Yeah just had a read.

No mention of import fees in any of the recent reviews... https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/tecobuy.co.uk

Olympus OM-D E-M10 MK III Body Black £249 + £9.99 del @ HDEW Cameras

Olympus OM-D E-M10 MK III Body Black £249 @ HDEW

It's £429 with the kit lens and a decent budget telephoto too - bargain.

When connected to my computer it doesn't have the battery icon (or any other settings). Sorry don't make to sound like I'm arguing, new to cameras and all but I'm just confused as I have what you say you can't.

Oh, maybe there was a little misunderstanding. The backside LCD display on the camera is completely clear of on-screen information but the HDMI-out feed still has the battery status indicator no matter what. If you bring up your capture card live video feed you'll see that the live footage is the same on the camera LCD and the capture card feed except for the battery status indicator being shown on your PC. It wasn't like this on the Mk II but apparently Olympus decided not to include 'actual' clean HDMI-out on the Mk III and Mk IV.

I hit the "INFO" button until the settings on the sides didn't show. Here's a video of it I just did in the last two minutes (please excuse my absolute mess of a bedroom, going to clean it out soon :P):

I am on the v1.2 firmware but I cannot seem to get the indicator to disappear when trying to use a 16:9 format output feed. Any tips?

No it wouldn’t, and I don’t think you will find an adapter either.

Pretty sure it won't fit Panasonic camera.

Would this fit a Panasonic GX80? I think I'd need an adapter, but not sure.

Dropped further to 629.99 plus postage!

It's probably cameras in general though, not micro four thirds. M43 cameras still sell really well. It was the best selling mount in Japan last year. Not sure of the ins and outs but I don't think they sold it to jip because m43 was rubbish. Panasonic ones still sell like hotcakes.

Sony often get very bad reviews from Pro's though, colour rendition and ergonomics get slated. Long term I think market will become more and more pro and keen amateur only with casual snappers sticking to phones. So my guess is we will end up with one system to rule them all and that one is likely to be Canon. Of course other opinions are widely available.

Canon and Sony more like, Nikon's finances look terminal.

I have the E-M5 ii along with Nikon DSLRs and this is a great price for probably a great camera, kind if tempted but thinking I should invest in a format with a future which IMHO are the Canon and Nikon mirrorless with probably the Canon edging out on top. Heat anyway BTW.

If you ever come across a decent contract for the S20 I'd be interested... I know they usually are more expensive and get voted cold but I'd happily pay more for a monthly contact. Still the contacts out there are a little too expensive for me at the moment.

This is better than the fe 4G

How does this compare to the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G? Seen a website called onbuy is doing them for £470. Not too sure if the site is selling the UK version though as the price seems a bit lower than elsewhere.

Is it an import?

As in the 12-40mm? That's the one I'm eyeing up as an all rounder. I currently use the 45mm F1.8mm and my Panasonic 20mm 1.7, both great but can get a little annoying having to keep changing and end up missing some moments.

The company is brilliant mate(yes got my camera from them), was a quick turn around. There isn't a so called uk model, there usually either from japan China and Vietnam. All will be the same standard. Just we get robbed over here, friend used to always go out to Japan on holiday and get his lenses back in the day saved a fortune. Reckon its worth having a f1.8pro and the f2.8 pro?

@davemoore583 Did you get this from HDEW? And is it a UK model? I ask as I read elsewhere they sell imports. I've been wanting this for a while as upgrade from my OMD EM10 Mark I . Very tempting to get this and the 12-40mm F2.8 Pro lens (£490) at HDEW. Saving of over £400 for the both of them. Also recommend the Olympus 45mm F1.8. It's amazing on my current camera so can only imagine it will perform even better on the OMD EM5 Mark III

The Panasonic 100-300 Lumix G is a good lens. Eqiv 200-600 in 35mm. I went for this over the Olympus 70-300 as a little faster. I find that is still needs good light though. Have the 12-40 you are looking at and it is a nice solid lens and gives really good image quality.

Im looking at the Olympus M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO for starters (some are going around the 400 mark) any recommendations on a second lense ? Looking for 1 that will give a different type of photos at range.

Thanks again! I am probably not going to be that disappointed with the camera on that as an upgrade to mine and its won alot of reviews. I still like using my Panasonic LX100 for real photography anyway which is excellent so I have a backup in the camera department!

If its the snap 865 you want and don't mind the camera trade off, go for the oneplus 8 pro in that case, plus it will last you 3 years and you'll get some sort of warranty

Anybody have any advice on what phone to get next? Always had Samsung until my current phone which is the P30 pro. It's by far the best phone I've ever had, mainly because of the battery life, ridiculously fast charging and the camera is phenomenal. Obviously bar the google/US issue I would be going for the P40 but the lack of play, Google maps etc really is a deal breaker for me. In my personal opinion, the Samsung S10 camera was nowhere near as good and the Huawei. Cheers

The site is saying 12 months but I have never brought from them so I wont hold my breath! Thanks for the advice! :) What do you think of the best oneplus in comparison? From your messaged above I wouldnt be that stressed about the Ex...probably unlikely to notice the difference myself. But if I am buying a phone every 3 or so years (currently on S8+) dont mind spending an extra £67 for more Ram/potentially better processor although like you said I strongly doubt I'll notice the difference!

Yeah, good price for the snapdragon, you won't have warranty buying from wonda, so something to bare in mind

I highly doubt there would be any disappointment if you upgraded.

Thanks @Bigdiv I'm currently using s9+ and basically wanted to upgrade for the camera

Hard to say as the S9 also took great pictures. The S20+ does have some nice features but I'm no tech. exoert. 3 seperate lenses for close, middle and wide. The wide shots are impressive. The ability to move the 'shoot' button anywhere on the screen which can be handy. 'Best picture' feature. Point at you subject and the phone will suggest the best shot and give you a horizontal guide. I find it very useful.

Is there much difference in the cameras @Bigdiv
