Surprised how terrible their rooms are. If you go make sure you take the best type of room
Three adults eh? Kinky
Similar at Dougletee Greenwich in London .

Leeds is horrendous for parking...city centre can be £25 , plus all the one way systems
Cheaper than my rent
good price - but parking 12 quid yikesssss! when did parking become 12 quid? American express anyone? Not like its in the city centre in which case you sort of expect some charge (if it was London at least) :) I must be getting old!

Yes the warm cookies (burnt at the Doubletree Marble arch) are still a thing. Ironically the best Doubletree I ever stayed in was in Minsk in Belarus about 18 months ago. Brilliant hotel with really lovely staff and a fantastic upgrade to a suite. I wouldn't go there at the moment though even without Covid.
ah yes totally agree :) I had some incredible stays at conrads on points alone! UKI ones are pretty dire... don't get me started on doubletrees (although i LOVE the warm chocolate chip cookies they'd give you at check in - does that still happen??)
Diamond status on Hilton was good for the 4 years when I wasn't gold status. The perks were brilliant, but that was mostly in properties in the US, Asia and some European ones. UK and Ireland ones have always been the worst.
I used to enjoy the status on hilton. used it to status match on marriot bonvoy which was one of the best decisions - the sheratons are incredible and having status gives you some incredible perks. Makes hilton feel like an old / worn out brand now in comparison...

Amex - Spend £250 or more at Hilton, get £75 back with American Express£250
Offer showing on an Amex Gold account. Save to Card to get £75 statement credit when you spend £250+ at the participating Hilton hotels by 30/04/20 , pay at hotel checkout… Read more
I have the £50 offer. Confirmed this works as a cumulative spend and on prepaid stays. I had a stay for £150 last week and booked a £109 prepaid stay for March and the statement credit hit my account today.
It worked for me on prepayment no problem. Was worried at first but no issues and got the money back within days.
To save others checking, the offer seems to be for European + UK Hilton hotels only.
I think last time there was someone on here who said it did work for pre payment
Guessing it's not possible to book online and pay at the hotel?

Hilton Conrad Rangali points stay available during christmas and over New year for 95000 HH points per night
Its quite difficult to get an overwater villa in the maldives quite cheaply. however if you are fortunate to have some HH points or Amex MR points then this could be a nice deal to… Read more
Or £30 for 2 if you eat at the Rangali bar like we did each night. Don't be suckered in by the mega expensive underwater restaurant etc.
Be careful with this place. No hotel will ever live up to it. A friend brough me on their points and it's pretty much ruined hotels for me :) Dinner is cheap enough at the bar area if that's a consideration. I wouldn't hesitate if I had the points.
I do recommend it. It’s one of the better Conrad hotels. Look online for some reviews.
Inc drinks? Won't be able to go this year but will keep it in my radar if they do a similar offer for April or may. Have you been? Do you recommend it?
You get complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea and happy hour as a gold or diamond elite. For dinner you are liking about £70-80 for 2.

Hilton hotels 72 hour winter sale 50% off hotel stays to Japan, Korea and Guam
Looks like some great deals on hotel stays from Hilton. I checked out some of the Tokyo hotels I stayed at last year and there are some great prices for next year. Sale Terms &a… Read more
We stayed in Ikebukuro, the Prince Sunshine City. Great hotel, but next time I too would prefer to stay in a Shinjuku. In general though, you can’t really go wrong staying anywhere with easy access to the Yamanote line ( I think that’s what it’s called ). We also did a night in Tokyo bay for Disney Sea :)
The main places are Shinjuku (if you see pictures of Tokyo, that's usually Shinjuku. Can be very busy and some say seedy) Ginza (posh area) Shibuya (where the famous scramble crossing is, It's pretty nice) Asakusa (where the Kaminarimon "Thunder Gate is, a bit further out though) We stayed at the Tobu Hotel Levant Tokyo in Sumida which is even further out and we got the metro in which didn't take too. long. Next time though I think I'll be booking a hotel in Shinjuku or Shibuya. Obviously the main issues with staying in the city centre is the price and another is room size as the rooms can be pretty small so make sure you check out the square footage before booking. Another thing to note is that they run whats called a limousine bus service from Haneda airport which is essentially a coach from the Airport that stops at lots of hotels in Tokyo, If you stay at one of those it can make things easier too.
So where do you recommend to stay for a first timer going Japan and Tokyo?
No problem. I stayed at the Hilton Tokyo Bay last year for a few days which was very convenient for the monorail for Tokyo Disneyland and Disney Sea. The rooms are pretty big for Tokyo too. Odiaba is a bit of a funny place and little far from Shinjuku and Shibuya much like Tokyo Bay was. The second half of the trip we spent closer to the center of Tokyo.
Ahhh I see, will try again
