had massive problems recently when trying to get hotels.com to provide a refund. The hotel owner had agreed, in writing, but hotels.com kept saying the hotel had refused. Got an email from them confirming a refund then they denied they had sent it. Then they stop replying. Their customer service is non-existent.

Got my money back when the credit card company got involved but who wants that sort of hassle.

Voted cold because there are other reports on the net of similar issues, this was not a one off.

i booked the wrong date through hotels.com, turned up at the hotel and realised. rang hotels.com, they rang the hotel while i was there, then rang me straight back, sorted the refund straight away and tried to help me re-book although i sorted that myself with the hotel staff stood right in front of me.
