On foot, you get to see Ryde and that's about it....which has nothing to shout about at all, but you could get a bus/underground train to travel to the more interesting/scenic parts of the island
At what age do you become an adult on this deal please?
presume this is as foot passengers? Can you see much on foot?
I think this is more than a fair price for what you get. If the economy needs a boost and you feel safe doing it then go for it. It will definitely help if people that can go and spend money they may of spent abroad here in the UK. Its a pain wearing a face mask but I think packing them is part of any holiday now, uk or overseas.
Usually I would vote this deal hot, but in the current climate I'd say it's not. This is the same price as previous years, yet we are in a very different situation to previous years. Confidence in travelling is very low, the need to mask up is a hindrance and an added expense and the economy is the most uncertain it's been in just about everyone's lifetime. The price needs to drop a lot more to inspire people to use the service.

You can include hovercraft travel in your train fare by entering your destination as Ryde Hoverport, works out cheaper
... .... especially if you use a railcard to get 1/3 off.
I am pretty sure you can get the hovercraft cost included in a train ticket to IOW. When I was looking last year it definitely came up as the cheapest option. You can get some great train fares from some distance away to IOW including the Solent crossing.
I found it much cheaper to book National rail tickets from London to Ryde Esplanade. This way the Hovercraft tickets are included in the price and works out much cheaper.
I was born in IOL. I would like to take the children there one day.

This is awesome I went on it as a kid on my holidays, we actually arrived late at the terminal and missed the last one, we had to stay overnight at a b&b and it turned out that mine hostess's hubby was a hovercraft pilot. I got given all sorts of technical manuals etc and was over the moon. Thanks for the memories OP.
Haha! Its all pay and display, if its not its permit parking, southsea and portsmouth in general now is a bloody nightmare for parking!
Appley beach, old train to visit old Shanklin, Shanklin chine, Blackgang chine, Needles, Alum bay, Robin Hill park, IOW Zoo, Osborne house (Queen Vic’s not Sharon’s), Carisbrook Castle, Things to do
You have to go to the home page to book and it automatically gives you the £30 fare, provided you select crossing times in the T&C's.

Underneath your original post there is a "get the hottest deals banner, then below that is a list, subscribe, quote, edit etc. If a deal is still active there will be an expired too, click on that. As your deal has already expired the button has gone. I looked on the Hover travel site and it says " we didn't expect all 5,000 tickets to go so fast" lol Under-estimate HUKD at your peril ! Thanks again for posting, looking forward to our evening out.
where is the expire button?? I know I'm not very technical, but I have hunted everywhere for it. I'm on a tablet does that make a difference? Thanks. x
new hovercraft due this year doesnt look as cool as the Freedom90
You simply click expire. Have expired it :)
