Can I get this deal in N Ireland

OffensiveWaste

We test drove one and the gear movement is a bit strange and a harsh ride.

C-137

Haha yep its disappointing, some of these small engines in big car. There are better alternatives available, however this price is quite good. This is a mini SUV apparently, not bad reviews too.

fedex1401

You of boredom? I’m sure the engine will be good for 20k miles after which you won’t care.:)

syedsuddin

My Coldest ever deal on HUKD :D

shaggy

That’s interesting. I’d love to drive a Tesla but with cheaper lease cost or some PCP contract where I can possibly buy the car as you suggest

Lee_Bolding

Agreed - that would make most sense - even if the residual is less than expected, you'd just hand the vehicle back and walk away, and it's still cheaper than this lease deal (100 + 418 x 48 = 20,164). Plus, you can drive it 10K miles/year under PCP agreement instead of the 5K miles/year of this lease agreement

Nexustar

Personal contract purchase. In effect same sort of cashflow structure but with a balloon payment at the end. You can normally choose to buy it out right; take the value of the car and invest into a new vehicle pcp or walk away. If the car is worth more than the balloon payment then you buy it or take a new PCP and 'make a gain' against the contract price. I would expect a 4 year old Tesla 3 SR+ to be worth more c£18k on purchase price of £39k - 21k for lease for 4 years hence better to go a route with ownership...or a cheaper lease :D

shaggy

sorry what do you mean PCP

I think I will be that guy snap a car for buttons then spend plenty keeping it on the road. What it boils down to: •Do I get an old car for 5k then spend, say, 500 average a year on mot/service/repairs, after four years total: £7k •Or do I get the about for £7k, no mot minimal cost (not sure what a warranty covers it how much it saves) Cost is similar but only difference I see is after four years the banger I'll probably get 1k back on resale.

steveieboy1

Why do you feel the need to preach on every lease deal? If they want to lease a car then let them, it actually benefits you! The more people that lease/buy new cars the more used cars are available.

minhp

I’m currently having exact Corsa Elite Nav Preminum top spec 130ps as courtesy car from my insurer for 3 weeks. It’s very impressive and doesn’t feel cheapy at all. Super responsive speed pedal from 0-60mph is in 8.9s. Sound insulated so comfort to drive. It swayed my mind completely about Vauxhall as I drove one long ago. I just wish this specs would be available in their bigger brother Vauxhall Crossland X SUV . 2 LCD screens -both have SatNav builtin and Traffic Sign Recognition, 1 in main and the other behind the steering wheel. All newest driver convenient and safety features (nerd) This new Corsa isn’t any previous Corsa if you assumed it would be. Good price IMHO.

j.dubz

It's a consumable item - so you find an economical way to run it. This is different for the 911 GT3, GT3 RS, R8 V10 Plus, 911 '89 Supersport, GTS etc etc that I've owned, which were not financed, and in some cases appreciated. Going to stop typing now...for some reason I thought it was an easy thing to understand but I don't think you'll ever get there sadly.

theblairthomas

j.dubz04/11/2020 14:20For cheaper than the depreciation of buying. Yes.Just be fortunate that there are people out there willing to buy/lease a new car so you can kick about in your old beater watching the pennies. (popcorn) Loving this chat MrBean and MrJohnson, so much so that I think I'll pop along to the charity shop at the weekend (flirt) Seriously though, with that spec, if I had this as my first car I would not be grumbling. I was that guy that would snap up a 5/6yo car for buttons and then spend plenty each year keeping them on the road.

We went with Electric.Auto - part of Zen Auto. They just do electric vehicles if you’re interested in going down that route. Didn’t get a direct discount for being NHS but it was a great deal as it was - £275 for 15k on a 24month contract - but they sorted our delivery out pronto as we’re NHS (and got messed around by another supplier!).

MIDURIX

Paying near enough the same for the wife's 1.6 200ps Astra Elite, so hopefully there are better deals around in a year when that ends. Seem to get worse and worse every year :p.

LeeFauxe

My mum is NHS and I'm trying to get a car for them, did you get a discount for the e208 and where from?

Rebecca_Wright

We ended up going for an e-208 with Electric.Auto who were great from start to finish. Delivery prioritised as NHS worker and super simple process. Now a fully electric car household.

If you lease for 2 years, do you only pay for one service at the end of year 1? Or do you have to pay for the service due at the end of year 2 before you hand back?

Besford

I think you've answered your own question there mate.

RedmanDealer

What does my posting history have to do with anything? Are you one of those weird internet stalkers? Judging by some of the other comments looks like others also agree with my assessment of the Mokka. In any case, have already taken my comments back since other posters pointed out it has nothing to do with this the PSA-based Crossland.

GAVINLEWISHUKD

That's another Vauxhall that is a PSA car built on the same platform as the Peugeot 3008.

arcticchimp

Not a fan of Vauxhall but I did drive a Grandland X recently on hire. Was surprised. Good drive, good toys and decent fuel economy at least on the motorway.

I didnt realise that driving like a dick was exclusive to one culture. I always assumed it was a young man + powerful car thing - lack of talent/wit or wisdom + tree = Happy Transplant Co-ordinator. Ps I choose Bradford as when I typed into google the words " R8 Crash" the very first auto suggestion was........... Bradford.

Racist and disgusting. Reported.

craigstephens

Out of the R8 and a Corsa, you're not wrong

The ironic disadvantage being that you can only afford a 1 litre corsa.
