These any good ?

They're bloody brilliant! But don't expect it to be spot on for your requirements at first go. You have to set it up and then you'll want to configure it to suit your particular needs.

I have one and it controls my 42" HD TV, a Sony HDD recorder, an Onkyo surround sound amplifier, and an XBox running a media centre application. It's the mutt's nuts. I paid just over £100 for it in the middle of last year at Amazon and I can see that it's just under that now without the discount. I can thoroughly recommend it.

I got one of these through the last offer, £69.99 from Amazon and have to say its a fantastic remote, it controls my 42" HD TV, Sky+, Sony BDPS350 Bluray player, Sony Gigajuke, Sony RHT G900 AV Stand and XBOX 360.

Its easy to add new devices and change activities as and when needed, really is a fantastic piece of kit and a fab talking point when peeps come round...

It is also well made not like my 525 remote that squeaked when i pressed the buttons . The touch screen is nice too . A good deal

I agree.

The really clever thing about it is that the user definitions are stored on the Internet at Logitech. So if your remote is nicked in a burglary, when you replace it you just hook it up the your PC and download your setup again.

Unlike the horrible Philps offering (which is many times the price) , which is all softkeys (ie the whole thing is one large LCD screen) the remote has proper keys that take on functions appropriate to the context at the time. So you can set up the softkeys to your own particular requirements over and above that. And of course you can program the proper keys to do anything you like if you want something non-standard. For example, I have the + button programmed to bring up the subtitles menu when watching the DVD player. For what it is, it's dirt cheap, even without the stonking discount.

hmm - very tempted now!!!
altho i need to clear my credit card off first...

i'm just hoping this offer will still be around in a week or 2 weeks' time as i'd love to have this remote especially for new tv and sky hd
