Download the McDonald's app on the app store and you can get a 2 for 1 voucher to enjoy 2 McCafe items for the price of one. Here's the link to the web page:

Also, this voucher is for both drinks and food in the McCafe range!

McCafe? Don't they do anti virus?
What a load of crap. You need to load the app on two phones and tap them together.

The free iced frappe was a better offer, uninstall and reinstall for another.

Since putting this app back on x privacy has flagged up they want your device serial, phone number, GPS location and much more.

Thanks anyway
Cheers
How does the tap phones feature on the app work? Does it need bluetooth or NFC?
I'm getting "Turn on location services".. what's that all about?
This is news to me and i work at mc donalds
I just tested it with a friend at work and I didn't need to enable bluetooth or NFC. It just worked, somehow...

Probably so they can show you your nearest Mcdonalds based on your phones GPs location.
Just used my voucher to get my 2 frappes. Mcdonalds workers did not know of the offer but it went through easy enough when u redeem the voucher great deal!
mmmm McDonald's, the road to obesity
Tried it with mine & husbands phone, didn't work (maybe I'm immune to their witchcraft) gave up & un installed app
Any tips on getting this to work would be great, tried it with 2 htc phones with gps on and bluetooth but can't get it to work. Thanks in advance for any advice
How are people having problems? I've now done this 4 times this week with my iPhone and my iPod and my mates phone (Android) with my iPhone... So easy and you can have as many as you like until April 6th! Whats not to like!

Android users need: App Ops Starter (clickable link) or
App Ops for Kitkat (again clickable), both from Google Play. The app tells you what permissions each app has and you can then prevent your selected apps from accessing your location, phone book, camera etc.

I do understand it.
If anything listed on hduk isn't of good quality or value it's voted Cold and likewise Hot if it's the opposite.
so my personal preference for this is cold.
Do both people need to be there to show vouchers for the offer to work? Thanks

No. Once you have triggered the voucher using your friend's phone it is added to a wallet in the McDonalds App; any time before the expiry date just open the app and follow the instructions on screen when you are told to by the restaurant staff. Works in drive thru too.

Interesting question. We used a pair of Android phones, without bluetooth or NFC enabled. Nothing seemed to happen until we tapped them together hard a couple of times - I think that it is using either the microphone or movement sensors to detect the "bump".
