Sure, i7 9700 non k you could try a mobo msi b365 mag available from ebuyer for £65 plus £3.50 delivery / or £78 from amazon if you prefer. It is a Micro atx board though so smaller. Also if you can overclock your i7 should go with z370 or z390 but if don't want to oc buy a h370. Whatever you can find cheaper, Hope that helps. (y)

Thanks a lot for the reply pal. Can you recommend a motherboard that would take the i7-9700 pls? Similar price?

Unfortunatly not mate, i7 is an intel chip. This is for amd Ryzen cpus.

Does anyone know is this will take the i7-9700?

It's clearly ATX just by looking at the image, failing that it says "Form Factor: ATX". There are plenty of Mini ITX motherboards although expect to pay about £100 for one

Unlikely due to inferior performance compare to the latest ryzen 5000 series. High power consumption, only max 8 cores across the stack, unless intel do a very attractive pricing, I can’t see it become a smash hit to even get the amd users to convert

New Intel chipset for 10th and 11th gen. H series is for running at stock speeds. Ideal for i3 or lower. B series allows memory over clocking. X series allows CPU and memory over clocking.

Spend the extra £5 on the superior B560 version

Are there any hints of supply shortage like with the AMD cpu's?

Got an Asrock board myself (X570M Pro 4) and been very impressed by it. This looks great for an ITX system. Not sure how the new Intel CPUs are for overclocking but a 6 phase VRM would likely struggle. Perfectly fine for stock speeds though.

No idea I put it on before I go to sleep and its charged when I wake.

It's an upgrade to my Huawei p smart, which is almost identical to the honor 9 lite. This has a Kirin 710 chipset compared to the Kirin 659 in your honor 9 lite. This has 5ghz WiFi, the 9 lite only has 2ghz WiFi.

Nice update! Does anyone have a view as to if this as an upgrade from the Honor 9 Lite? Thanks

How long does it take to charge?

Who did you manage to get to price match this?

This deal is back on now btw...

Lots of weird sites like this about. It's worth looking round and getting one of the bigger boys to price match. I did that and managed to get a price match eventually after a few refusals.

VA display delivers awesome images with wide viewing angles The Philips VA LED display uses an advanced multi-domain vertical alignment technology that gives you super-high static… Read more

VA have a weird subpixel layout which causes blurry text. The 'best contrast' makes very little difference for reading text.

Poor viewing angles cause off centre images to have colour shifts. Looking at the corner of the panel you'll get either darker or brighter spots which are suboptimal. Besides, the poor viewing angles are only part of the issue. The response times are the most significant problem with most VA panels (apart from G7/G9)

Actually VA are the best mainstream panel for text, as they have the best contrast.

The G9 isn't "the best monitor out there". There are a number of excellent choices but pretty much every single one of them has a huge drawback. If you want to buy a fast panel that's not horrendously curved then the Dell S2721DGF or the LG 27GL850 are good choices. They've got poor contrast though. If you want a top panel but can tolerate a mental curve then the G7 is your best bet. Other than the Samsung G7 and G9, almost every other VA has garbage response times.

When I looked at monitors recently was loads of reports that VA panels tend to have soft text, which can be bad if it's also being used at the moment as a WFH monitor. Nothing about this specific model but seemed to be a common complaint. Put me off them.
