Just been on Moto chat, Moto UK no longer sells Moto phones directly. (annoyed) (poo)
Good first post! What kind of company and manufacturer of the handsets they sell, be out of stock site wide, and redirect to amazon, clove and cpw?! Jokers
Moto UK stopped selling X4, now directs buyers to CPW and Clove. :(
Sadly going off Motorola too. Wife and I had G4 - varying shades of ghost touches. She recently bought G5 from Motorola directly - took more than a week to come, then headphone socket doesn't work. Again, CS not great - have to post it back to China for a refund. Don't be fooled by the "UK" website - your phone comes the long way!
Bloody hell... How long did it take you to take them to court?
Always been brilloant with me concerning 4 personalised products I' ve bought from them.
Yep, moto360 watch .... LCD went yellow in places with minimal use and they refused to repair it.... Small claims court win for me. Moto G4 plus charge port stopped working....... Got it repaired privately (chip failure) and see thing again after 3 months.
Are you sure they are genuine Motorola products? I have probably bought over 10 Moto phones in the past 5 years (for me, family and friends) and never had any issues (except 1). My phone developed an AMOLED panel issues after 1.5 yrs (warranty was over). I sent it for repairs and they fixed for FREE! (only had to pay initial postage, not even return postage). They also put a new screen on it - it had scratches!
Get £10 off a mediocre phone from a company with rubbish costumer service!! Been burned twice with Moto products!
Received mine on Monday, excellent device and dual SIM which is handy. UK retail model. So far 7 hours screen on time average and charging every other night (with 15-20% remaining). Outstanding, if my 6P could get anywhere near that I'd have kept it, but 3 hours screen on time and shutting off at 45% doesn't cut the mustard!
No. None of them was rooted, if I root my phone sadly my mobile banking won't work :/ so rooting isn't an option. These are brand new phones having spent several hours applying updates one by one. A look at lenovo forums says it's common :/
Excellent phone, loving mine! Fast and amazing battery life
Was yours rooted by chance? The only time I've read this, the user has rooted which breaks the updates.
Friend of mine / colleague has been getting 2-3 days minimum and no issues at all. Moto customer service (and shipping from China!) is a PITA though. He's just updated to 7.1.1 and still no issues, and I'm not too concerned, running the 6P at the moment, battery is the BANE of my life! Carry a 22,000mAh Anker everywhere I go! It's an extension to the 6P now, and Huawei are useless as well (annoyed)

Pretty bad that 2 units have the same fault. I sent mine back on 26 June and still waiting for the refund. Chased them by email yesterday and have been told it's been processed and so should get refund soon. I was a bit worried because the return link to TNT they sent was flaky (it took several attempts for the website to load / process and then it crashed at the end - TNT did pick up but I got no receipt and no acknowledgement through email). How has your return gone?
I've got the same problem and I've also got screen freeze. It appears in safe mode as well though not so consistently. Particularly bad when using Whats App I've noticed. Im going to send it back.
Unfortunately my G9 Power is going to be returned. My son found it was missing touches and so causing difficulty in typing. He videoed himself typing away and so he could see that he was making the touch and it was not being properly registered by the phone. Have contacted customer support and they are arranging with TNT to pick it up.
Thank you have given it a go.
I would email customer services - the link is on the website. They seem to know what they're doing and should be able to provide an accurate tracking number. It will be TNT as they are the only one's willing to deliver a phone with such a large battery. Note - the tracking number provided with your order is incorrect and relates to UPS. Alternatively, are there contact details on the TNT card they put through your door. If you give them your postcode, they may be able to track it for you.
Thanks for posting. Your thread was selected for our Highlights section (highfive)
I think you are right. As it is UK phone, it is most likely single sin. If it was dual sim, it would be an excellent main budget phone or indeed a backup phone.
What that means is they do both single & dual sim models. Which one this is is unknown until someone buys one but most likely single sim.
Its best to stay away from Xaiomi,, or rather MIUI etc. I have just bought Xiaomi Redmi Note 9T.Although this is an excellent quality phone, one never can tell what data is passed to China, for good or bad! I guess I will have to put a different ROM in not too distant future
Brilliant (y) mine says it has been posed and shows tracking information for UPS :D
Hi yes my 2 were posted 2 days ago if you click on the link on the original purchase email. Then click get code. Enter your email you purchased the phone with it will give you a update status. They don't send email with update you have to check yourself (y)
Has anyone had there phone posted yet ? I'm still waiting for an update on mine
I agree Samsung is bad for that but with Xiaomi they allow you to delete a lot of the bloat and what you can't delete it allows you to disable... so what's the problem? I think there great phone's especially for giving you total control over the phone through the settings without jailbreaking that's unheard off, awesome phone IMO
What tin hat? I have used xiaomis, why would u want all that extra junk on your phone I have no idea...It's just littered with junk, useless apps, useless animations, useless extra steps to do anything etc... Kinda like Samsung... Pointless junk just for the sake of putting it there....

Two weeks using Razr 5g. Great phone, last my phone's Xperia 1, pixel 4, now sgs8 plus, Moto Z2 force , nexus 6. Screen is good and bright, battery 6 hours SOT, brilliant phone, little overpriced but give new wind of freshness in boring smartphone rankings.
Yeah the Razr was announced in 2019 9 months after the Fold that had been delayed several times. I don't remember seeing many leaks or prototypes for the Razr, but there was a shed load for the Fold. Razr plastic v Samsungs ultra thin glass, this leaves little doubt about who leads and who follows. Moto just don't have the R&D budget, they borrowed from BOA, what they borrowed from Samsung subsidiaries. ;)
Razr announced 2019. Z flip announced 2020. Razr had 2 years of dev on the hinge mechanism. Z flip more like 2 months to rush out door. It shows.
(lol) (lol) (lol) But Samsung announced 9 months before Moto, with prototypes and leaks seen for months before that. Now calm down hater there is nothing on an iPhone that wasn't somewhere else first, home buttons existed on windows os palm machines long before Apple existed. As usual the sheep follow and give credit where credit is not due. Apples (:I (:I the biggest rip-off merchants of them all. Samsung copying Blackberry who made their first mobile phone in 1999, you do know Nokia had introduced phones with keyboards long before that right? I think you need to brush up on your history before you start pointing fingers. It's 2021 and since the Samsung S2 they have been out in front with most of the software and hardware advancement coming from them, with LG in second place.
Samsung innovate? The Razr came out first. When touch screen smartphones came to market Samsung were still busy wholesale copying Blackberry devices. When the iPhone gained traction Samsung wholesale copied the hardware and software design of the iPhone 3g, including the home screen, button layout, even down to the chrome edges, packaging and peripherals. Samsung has a long history of blatant copying. Wouldn't touch the company with a bargepole. Lots of manufacturers making interesting Android devices. Samsung is not one of them.
