50% Off Front Wheel Aligment @ National Tyres

Had some tyres fitted at Kwik Fit and they suggested that I should get my alignment done and would cost £40, checked online and found this from National Tyres for a fraction at £15 with discount taken off.
So may be useful if you need this done.

Can I just ask how? Surely if the tracking, when you jumped back in the car you'd know the tracking was out?
Was it inside or outside on the tyres that were ruined?
Sometimes a simple thing such as over or under inflating a tyre can knack it.

P.s I'm not sticking up for them if they've made a mistake, just curious what went wrong as I know loads of people who've used them

Yeah its crap when your not a car person, I serviced my mates daughters cars last week and never seen a wheel so out of line, to go straight you had to turn the steering wheel a quarter of a turn lol.
Trackings not a hard thing to do specially with today's tech and gadgets they have to line everything up.
I'm not even sure if this company's a franchise so one might be better than the other!
Your tyres might have been in a bad state before you got the tracking but the mechanic should have really told you, it takes a while for tyres to wear even with it out

You should have gone back mate, tyres don't wear after a month unless your a drift king
This is a decent deal. When it comes to tracking a lot depends on the employee.
You cannot just say they are rubbish, someone will have a bad experience at any of the regular establishments and 4 wheel alignment can be just as bad with Hunter. That too depends on the user, search that and many of them are classed as bad but more costly.

Correct me if I'm wrong, there no point of 4 wheel alignment as most car don't have adjustment at the back 2 wheels.

Correct. Also the suspension joints and shock absorbers must be in very good condition to get the benefits of a good tracking job.
Just get a Reliant Robin and the tracking won't be an issue.

Thanks for posting
Had this done TWICE on my car as they cocked the first time up. I only had it done as a precaution after new tyres! The car still pulls to one side AFTER they aligned it... Was fine before!
Do yourself a favour, save your money and book into somewhere else. I had a problem with my tracking to the point i took it back three times after they had done it. Said there was nothing else they could do. Took it to Tanvic and they sorted it, simply by doing it properly. I avoid national at all costs.
A lot of their sites only offer four wheel alignment now and they won't do two wheel only for some reason.
I agree with the rest of the negative comments about their wheel alignment service, a few years ago I took my car in for an alignment after a new steering rack had been fit by a local garage, it left the alignment a right mess and they didn't have the equipment to put it right. Kwik fit wanted £50 for the job which I thought was steep so I took it to national tyres since they quoted £20. Their mechanic did improve the alignment greatly as if I recall I was holding the wheel 45 degree off center to steer straight, but after multiple attempts they couldn't get it right, ended up being around 10 degree out which was much better but still wound up taking it to kwik fit for it to be done correctly.
