I'd not trust the cheap PSU that came with that case, Put too much load on it and something is going to fry. I've no idea the OEM of the mobo but A78 boards retail from £30 to £45, The APU is £80, The CiT Shade Case is £26 including the PSU (has no connectors for GPU power) Ram £20. Price is not terrible, it would cost around £15 less to build it yourself. But it would be worth spending more if using it for gaming on a 80+ certified PSU and a mobo with a A88X chipset and a extra stick of Ram (I'd go for 8GB)
if you have your own ssd or HDD this is a great buy, plus it has a 500w PSU not 100% sure but you can add a cheap gpu
yeah why cold? gotta be boring crappy voters.
why voted cold?!

Symantec Norton Internet Security V21 2014 System Builder - 1 Pack from Overclock.co.uk - £24 Delivered£24
I was looking at the Norton deal at Argos which went up from £19.99 to £21.99 and found this. Anyone dealt with Overclock before? Price is good Shared Via The HUKD App For Androi… Read more
Rip off for the system builder oem pack. it's around £15 from CCL. 1 user but works for 3 installs ;)
Thanks so much for the advice I'll go grab a 2013 now. cheers ☺
I'm even voting cold on my own deal!!! heh heh heh
Overclock are a reliable company. Not sure on what this build of Norton provides in user terms ? Does it allow 3 users. A good way to get a great deal on Norton products is to buy an older copy. i.e 2013 version as you will get an instant upgrade to the 2014 version via the update program on symantecs website. A quick search of amazon shows norton internet security 2013 as £15.95 for one computer or £22.10 for a 3 computer licence You will probably get lots of cold added by those who don't like symantec as their pre 2011 products slowed many computers down. The current versions are very different and do not suffer these problems

Zalman ZM-K300M Multimedia Gaming Keyboard with Hot Keys from Overclock £13.98 Delivered£8.99
Multimedia Gaming Keyboard with 20 hotkeys for only £8.99 from Overclock, seems like a really good deal. Seen on AriaPC for £17.99 at the moment
so does this keyboard output 4 keys at once? for example if i push QWER together will it display the text on word or any other editor? Just would like to use it for League of Legends smart casting
Cold cheaper here http://www.shop.bt.com/products/zalman-zm-k300m-multimedia-keyboard-8H84.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=ppc%20product%20search&utm_content=RR00&utm_campaign=Computing%20-%20PC%20Peripherals%20-%20Keyboards%20and%20Mice&origin=pla
Thanks - that looked like a good deal at £350 - similar is now £400 Tempted to build myself if I can get the old beast back up and running
I bought this for £350 a couple of months back, but looks like it's no longer available...
Couldn't agree more. If you want a barebones there are much better options for around £50 more. (Before people say 'post it then' this is standard, it's not an amazing deal, it's just what you should expect to pay).
OK so my aging Dell Q6600 is starting to give me problems. I have built PCs in the past but bought the dell last time as it was crazy cheap for a pre-built system and I couldn't get anywhere close for the price. It is now refusing to get past bios screen so if my efforts to revive it this weekend I will be be in forced upgrade mode (have been avoiding it as performance was still ok). So this barebones caught my eye but not sure I like the idea of the Mboard and RAM. Has anyone built a good spec i5/i7 recently and point me in the right direction? I will need case/PSU and ancillaries etc... as the dell case and PSU will not do.
Laptops and Desktops are very different beasts. Laptop chips use far less power and are much slower than their desktop equivalents. Your i7 could in fact be a dual core, whereas this desktop has a faster quad core. You got a good deal - but they're not really comparable.
91.99 now but... honestly Expletive beginning with f to overclock.co.uk .... this is how they shipped me the drives.... *face palm* Might as well pay more and shop where people know how to package things.
back to £92.99 lol
Lame about the price increase people :( I bought two yesterday! so fingers crossed they come through.
Cheaper at Amazon. £117.95 https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/western-digital-red-3tb-sata3-hard-drive-117-95-incl-free-del-sold-valuentrust-fulfilled-1462407
I really want two of these Red Drives but waiting for price to go a little lower. I missed the Scan supersaver deal. :-(
Disappointingly my order has been put on hold awaiting stock, despite there being 8 available when I ordered. I assumed it was realtime as the numbers were dropping gradually throughout the day.
Zaim2012, you have to be very quick with deals on this website as they expire very quickly. Below is a cut and paste from the order which I received from Scan. Expecting delivery on Tuesday instead of Monday as I missed the 2pm cut off by 5 minutes :( Product Quantity Price ---------------------------------------------------------- 2x 3TB WD Red WD30EFRX, SATA 6Gb/SE 2 £179.99 ---------------------------------------------------------- Net Total £364.14 Carriage £4.16 Total £436.97
How did you manage that ? it was removed from today only yesterday. They have the single drive on for £117.
