Bought a laptop in 2015 from them and it works like it's new. Great parts and great build quality. Also, their customer service is amazing.
Bought a pc from pc specialist back in 2012, still works flawlessly. When a hdd drive failed, replaced immediately. I put mine own together now, but if you'd rather buy built, can't go wrong in my experience.

Apart from the screen and potentially cooling solutions, the other components can be just get the cheapest to resell and self upgrade . And this one has 5900HX. Based on the reviews of XMG Neo and Mech G3 which uses the same Tongfang chasis, the 3070w GPU is 125w+15w. This has a 94whr compared to legion 5 pro which i believe is 80 whr If you get a 10% off from one of the pc magazines you can get this laptop for about £1,350. I'm not sure whether to risk it though just for the 5900HX and 94whr battery.
I would go for a premium 2070 super or 2080 instead of a cheaper 3070 like this
Its still is an awesome laptop, just ampere isn't a major improvement in performance per watt. It improvements mostly come at cost of power thus avoiding 3000 series on laptops make more sense
Yeah I recently had a rude awakening with this, bought a top of the line Razer for ~£3k and was completely underwhelmed so sent it back for a refund. Would love to build a desktop but that's just not realistic right now, I thought getting a semi-decent laptop and waiting for the GPU prices to come down might be a good idea.
not inflated compared to previous cycle , actually cheaper than desktop but laptops gpus are lagging behind desktop... due to power limits
If this laptop had Gsync/Freesync and included a 1TB drive with the Ryzen 9 5900HX and a RTX 3070 for £1500 I would of bought it. I am going to wait for the Legion 5 Pro as that laptop offers you more and cost less.
Thanks for answering my question. I have one more question. Does the 17.3" Ionico laptop 100% SRGB version with Ryzen 9 5900HX have Freesync or Gsync?
depends on the chassis that you are looking at. As an example, I believe the 17.3" RECOIL is a 150W part.
What about your RTX 3080 laptops? What is the max GPU TGP on your RTX 3080 laptops?
I never said that I did want the Intel version. I simply said that I couldn't order. It did seem to be working earlier though.

PCSpecialist Gaming Desktop PC - RX 6700 XT, 16GB RAM, Wifi, Intel i5-10400F, 512GB SSD, No OS - £934 delivered using code @ PC Specialist£934 Free P&P Free
System was delivered today! So, not a bad turn around overall and he started the order about a week-ish after it was 1st posted and it's taken what, about 3 weeks roughly? Not bad for an out of stock everywhere GPU! Now all he needs me to do is run him through how to install win 10 and Teamvierwer in to help finish up the setup and then that's job done, all for £1 over £1000!
did everyone get a XFX 3 fan version?
only for RTX it is slower. Now my system arrived. Definitly better than rtx 3060. not sure about 3060 ti but it does 47-48 MH comfortably. My system came with XFX 6700 xt 3 fan so a premium unit rather than the reference 2 fan. all in 1050 for a 10700 512mb system. not bad with COrsair case and one corsair RGB
I just received my PC this morning. I was pleasantly surpised to see a non-AMD reference 6700 XT. My exact model is the XFX Speedster SWFT309 https://www.xfxforce.com/shop/xfx-speedster-swft309-amd-radeon-tm-rx-6700xt-core-gaming-graphics-card-with-12gb-gddr6-hdmi-3xdp-amd-rdna-tm-2 It's non-overclocked but the cooling solution definitely looks better than the AMD reference one. I'm curious as to what card others have received.
Mine was dispatched today and should arrive tomorrow.

15.6" IONICO i7-10875H, RTX 3070, 165Hz QHD, 16GB, 256GB, NO OS, Laptop Pre-order £1476 @ PC Specialist£1,476 Free P&P Free
How is thr cooling on these laptops? I left a old hp compaq nx9420 on 24 7 for around 3 years and a bubble appeared on the gpu.
it is still impressive an RTX 3060 should be at least 30% faster than the older RTX 2080 laptop variant. The 10875H and RTX 3070 might be a bad combo as the intel might start to bottleneck in e sport tittles.
3080 - 8704 CUDA Cores 3080 Laptop - 6144 CUDA Cores 3070 - 5888 CUDA Cores 3070 Laptop - 5120 CUDA Cores 3060 Ti - 4864 CUDA Cores 3060 - 3584 CUDA Cores 3060 Laptop - 3840 CUDA Cores So the 3080L has ~70% of the Cores of it's counterpart, 3070L has ~87% and the 3060 has about 7% more than its desktop counterpart. So best case for 3080L full power is ~ 3070 Desktop performance (but less when Max-Q), 3070 is around 3060 Ti performance (but also probably less when Max-Q) & the 3060 is very similar but it's in a laptop so we'll see.
7% faster than a 2080 Super Max Q, but I'm still optimistic as Timespy isn't gaming FPS. It does seem disappointing that they are going back to cutting down the desktop GPUs and calling them the same thing like the 900 series, and the 6gb VRAM on the RTX 3060 is really bad considering things like the RX470 have had 8gb for years and this should be miles ahead.
Wow. I guess they were comparing it to the 2080 super max-q then. Not as impressive.

Anyone who bought with standard build/delivery how long did it take
Price drop, got mine for £1004, select no OS, cheapest 16GB (2x8GB) 2133Mhz RAM, cheapest 512GB M2.
I think this one may be Clevo. The Elimina Pro is defo Tongfang as it is the same chassis as Eluktronics but this Elimina is the exact same chassis as the Gigabyte G5 that has scorching heat on another deal, which I believe is a Clevo.
I bought a clevo machine from them a while ago and replaced the CPU and GPU over the years. Can the GPU and CPU still be swapped out with this chasis?

I really feel for people trying to buy gaming pc's that don't really know in ins and outs of whats inside the case this time of year leading upto Xmas. The amount of " gaming pcs " i see for sale quoting plays fortnite and has a gpu like a gt 710 inside it is shocking. Asking good money for them also. This pc is by all means not that bad but at £670 come on!
pretty poor spec A320 motherboard 2400mhz ram RX 550 and just a 450W PSU Voted Cold.. no value for money here

oh yeah sorry i mean 2x16gb if you need it, its CL18 not CL19, Probably a small improvement :P
I can't see the 2 x 8gb option but not sure I really notice any difference compared to my CL22 Crucial sticks (y)

This machine is amazing. Windows is so snappy. Also I'm sure it is powered by air! I think I have charged it once in the last 3 days. Intel should be very worried!
Wow yes when I put the 2x8gb 3200 the geekbench 4 scores went to 5248 and 28020. Unfortunately while taking the back off I have managed to strip one of the screws. I think one of the Avengers must have tightened the screws. It was very difficult to fit memory and ssd while holding the lid with one corner screw in. I have upgraded dozens of laptops, built desktops, nucs etc and never stripped a screw ... sigh. Guess I won't be changing the battery anytime soon :(. The SSD I put in had Xubuntu with XCFE initially. It seemed to work really well!
