That's the crossover point not its lower range

Great sub- have this with 3020's as part of a 5.1 setup, have it set pretty low and it's extremely punchy. As others have commented, it was calibrated using the Denon Audyssey mic

You win, I give up and as a punishment for showing me up as a Liar, fraud and cheat im changing my forum name to Powerdick11 ,in your glory...ps my name isn't phil, clue.. Motor head.

Sure thing Phil. I just say it how I see it :)

The quality control on these subs is not the best, I'm on my second, same problem your having, exchanged it and not looked back, get yours swapped out wilts

As per title 3050i pair of speakers for £320. I ordered on Easter Sunday and got delivery today! Only walnut colour at this price. Cheapest I could find elsewhere was £549.

I'm using the str DN1080 with these speakers they sound great. Bought it from rs 2 weeks ago £415 with 6 year warranty thrown in

I originally bought sony str-dn1080 and 3010i bundle, so it is the 3090ci I have

Im using the Sony str-dn1080

Is your centre speaker from the same range? I am hesitant between 3090c (£89) and 3090ci (£149). But cannot find any info about the difference :( Most likely 3090c would be more than adequate for my use case (movies mostly) though.

What amp are you using? been driving myself nuts looking at amps.

And older design but could ideal for a starter or bedroom setup. Available in black.

Good budget speakers, but agree you might as well spend an extra £10 for the 3020s at RS. I tried posting a link to these awesome active speakers with a huge saving - but wasn’t allowed apparently: https://www.eliteaudiouk.com/product-page/triangle-elara-ln01a-active-loudspeakers

I've had same speakers running off vintage Amps for a fair few years now, good sound for the money

3020s are £99 on RS ... These are cold

Retuned, anybody experience with them im confused with their numbers and such juat got Marantz 1508 and need set of speakers for it.

Yep, Bluetooth

Thanks. Is that paired via bluetooth? I guess i could do the exact same with my Google Home, or plug a chromecast audio into the back.

I have an Alexa paired with these:. https://www.qacoustics.co.uk/bt3-active-bookshelf-speakers-with-bluetooth.html Gives excellent results.

Exactly, 88 is perfectly respectable. Maybe you might find some speakers at 90, but are they really 90? I think this is just a troll post tbh.

you lost me, what is cast/assistant support? my active bookshelf speakers are Edifier R1280DB, Bluetooth, optical, and 2 sets of RCA £120 most places, amazon have them at £112 I proper scored when they did 20% off on everything code ebay end of last year and doubled up on them being on sale at the time cha-ching £86 (y) sounds awesome for games and good clarity for Netflix on my PC, music is good too. I wold say good quality for only £120 and much better than most active bookshelf speakers, if you want better you will have pay a fair whack more for it

These are usually around £350. Also available for 1p less on Amazon.

You're never hit 80watts in most cases as the sub does the heavy work. Not sure about the efficiency of the two units but from what I've read the 3050 is a solid upgrade. 100watts power is only really needed to do the low end and if your room is too big for the speakers then multiple subs would be better. Also 100 watts is extremely loud, 150 will probably do damage.

You are right and I was tempted too. But I found that 3050's recommended power is 100, quite significantly lower than 150 of 2050i.

I know, I never mentioned rubber. Most speakers should be fine but you still should inspect older speakers for any problems like any electrical product. Most people don't check their amps for DC offset but it's still an issue for for older amps that distorts the sound.

Well my AE109 has foam, and still in good condition, just my experience, I know some friends where the foam gets cracked, but the rubber ones last.

99p from barnados. huh?.....you don't have to pay a lot to get a decent sound. of course, if it has to have matching collar and cuffs. then that may come with a payment premium

Never heard a side by side comparison. DSP has helped ported units a bit, but the sealed units for the sound level I was looking for were quite expensive. Be nice to know of an unbiased comparison

if its for music the AE108 I'm guessing will be better as is a sealed unit whilst this is ported

I saw other day that Acoustic Energy 108 is available at about £160 atm. Don't know how that compares with this deal but thought might be useful info to someone.

What's the warranty on this? Just a year? Oh it's 2 years by the looks of it.

Nice find, am so tempted to go with my 2000i Series as a second Sub. Heat.
