Both cards just delivered (shock) lightning fast that!
No idea about the direct debits but I have sorted them already and both mine and the wife's accounts are already opened as of this morning. We managed to do it with the usernames/customer numbers generated during application night before last and security pins we chose. Didn't seem to get any joy on desktop but fine on the app. I lobbed 1500 quid in each account but it would only allow us to send a grand back out as there's £1000 limit on payments at the moment.
Can't see it mentioned in small print but can anybody confirm you don't need any DDs set up for the initial switch over for the first £100
As long as you ain't had a switch bonus from either RBS, Ulster Bank or Nat West since 20017 then yeah as long as you do a full switch from another bank and pay £1500 in then you'll the 100 quid as far as I can work out. Though to get the extra bully over the course of the first year and garner additional dough from the Reward account you have to start jumping through some hoops by switching and/or setting up direct debits and standing orders.
to get £100 I have to transfer £1500 from my second bank account right?

The total government spend was £137 billion. Most of this has been paid back and around £27 billion is still outstanding. Around £1 trillion worth of financial guarantees were provided to investors—but these were promises designed to restore confidence in the banks, not cash for spending.
You obviously forgot what happened in 2007. Not to mention appalling customer satisfaction ratings.
My wife banks with these and our nearest rbs is now 100 something miles away. We've moved address and got married since she lost her bank card and they won't give her a new card as her name is wrong and she can't get access to the old address. Useless is being polite I'm afraid! If you want a proper bank, go to first direct, great customer service, £100 something to join and access to great saving rates, no reason to bank elsewhere!
The student rail card for 4 years reigned supreme when I was at Uni, must have saved a fortune with that...

Raise a official complaint, they credit searched you by mis-selling you then after account opening withheld the offer. Ask for compensation way above £100 ;) Online complaints: https://personal.rbs.co.uk/personal/support-centre/how-to-complain.html#Ways
I did ask their advisors before applying .I was told to go ahead as was eligible for the switch offer. Now got hit by NO sorry you had cash btween 2017 and 2020.OUCHHHH
I know, from what I’ve heard their customer services have got worse of that period.
You won’t be eligible for this offer if you’ve already taken advantage of a cash switcher offer from The Royal Bank of Scotland plc (‘RBS’), National Westminster Bank Plc (NW) and/or Ulster Bank Limited (‘Ulster’) between October 2017 and 1st September 2020 (confused)
No worries, sheep be dismissive rather than realising knowledge is power, therefor less sheep-like as a human species and there for more community & humanitarian orientated. Not individualist self consuming wanna be right, google is a great thing if you read something to then resource more information or accuracy. I’m black sheep, I love learning stuff off people, I don’t do the inferiority defensive complex that’s dysfunctional to the species ;) Lastly for everyone, as a scot myself - I don’t recommend RBS Group or its new spangly NatWest Group name banks myself. I’ve banked with both RBS & NW and they really are (overpaid) hopeless staff not even trained in banking regulations or legislation (even since majority UK Gov owned!!) take your £100 cash and run from the migraine NW & RBS customer care are going to cause you somewhere down the line (y)
Anyone who sets up nationwide and needs a referral let me know I have just sent the forms off for my account
Might try that, thanks! Glad yours went though ok and hope the Nationwide one goes as smoothly.
Complain if they messed it up supp others have got double switch bonus
Not had the telephone/on line banking details through yet. Rang them yesterday, they said they were in the post. I asked when they posted them, they said we were still in the time limits to get them? Got a letter from them today, thinking that was it, no, they were thanking us for the switch, it was dated 23 Feb and was identical to a letter we got previously dated 4 Feb. Going to go on the branch on Monday to sort it out. Perhaps as well we're not staying with them, Muppets!
Got my cashback from HSBC already now time for my brother to refer me to nationwide then I can refer the Mrs

switching is not a hassle imho - remember after the "crash" all banks were forced to introduce seamless switching services for free. I think rates are near the £100 to £150 mark now
So if you have a Business Bank account with another Bank is there a way to potentially switch to RBS to then switch and get an offer? Or going to be too much headache I wonder.
I got a letter from Natwest but took it as just an marketing exercise and didn't look into it. Stumble don this thread and now I have. I'm being offered £1,000 to switch. Was probably going to close my Natwest account anyway. Sill not to switch now. Problem is I don't expect any turn over for a few months for a multitude of reasons. I'm wondering who to switch too, haven't been able to find the turn over requirements.
