Wrap in clay, bake in the fire (as you would a jacket potato), crack the clay and the spines come away. Tuck in.

Tried this before. They called me every day for a week asking for money and no bag.

Lucyeff

I mean, that's debatable (flirt) Local, well run rescues do far more good and are FAR cheaper to run. And they don't kill as many animals !

Piranha_Plant

They do amazing work! <3 (angel)

....and that is just the personalities my psychiatrist has met

Lucyeff

They're very (!) persistent too (shock) Not worth it, I'm using a carrier bag and we gave a tenner to the local no kill rescue instead.

Not just these but if you check the recent salaries list every single major charity director in this country gets over 100 grand! Disgusting its time these charities were brought to book its just a shame for the animals and the causes our money is supposed to be going to - all lies and obfuscation you cant trust anyone or anything anymore!

tradgood

Wow, sure is an eye opener. Ive too donated many times and raised alot of money in the past for them. Didnt know it was to line the boss's pockets. Think i need to do some research on this.

deleted2440756

Donated to RSPCA for 30 years until this year when i found out the managing director gets paid more than the prime minister £230,000 and two of the lesser directors get £120,000 each - Disgusted is the word!!! https://www.civilsociety.co.uk/news/rspca-accounts-show-pay-out-of-almost-200-000-to-executive.html https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2364755/RSPCA-fatcat-rakes-45-previous-boss-reveal-figures-spending-LESS-animal-welfare.html Even after these articles they are now paying the MD even more! Cancelled my SSPCA direct debit as well when it was also in the news £220,000 a year! https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/727733/Scottish-SPCA-boss-resigns-pay-off-row-salary-Stuart-Earley Is it just me or does anyone else think that these so called bosses should not be taking salaries like this? I am all charitied out! (mad)

Nadz101

Completely! I had a stray cat always coming to my door and I found out that his owner had simply kicked him out. I didn’t mind feeding the cat now n then, even took him to the vets as it was injured, rspca couldn’t help due to being over busy. It’s a shame but there are so many animals that need help :(

foolsgold1970

For info RSPCA only covers England and Wales. SSPCA are the main organisation in Scotland and the USPCA in the North of Ireland.

RSPCA are ok i used to donate to the SSPCA until i found out their managing director got more than the prime minister £220,000 a year pretty disgraceful seeing as he was only an aquarium salesman before he got the job as well so hardly that well qualified had donated to them for over 20 years didnt i feel cheated! I wonder how much the RSPCA head honcho gets i have had a direct debit with them as well for over 30 years would be hellish to hear if their MD was also getting over 100 grand! Beginning to think charity begins at home when you see these clowns and their pay packets David Mobbs, Nuffield Health. Pay range: £780,000-£790,000 Paul Holdom, London Clinic Trustees. Well done Sherlock. Pretty damn obvious. You don't think they just want to give away a load of bags for the fun of it?

I think Derek has watched too much GoT, lol

OperateOnMe

I reported a dog fighting ring to West Midlands Police last year, seems they are all barking mad - I later found out during Christmas from other people at a park, a few of them are involved. Hence still going strong (skeptical)

jakka

Derek's got the right idea or put them in a cage with a hungry lion.

deleted339946

People involved in Dog Fighting should be turned into dog food. Stake them to the ground and let the dogs eat 'em alive.

BIGUSHEADUS

Please don't leave your dog unattended outside shops or in public for long if at all as many are taken and used as bait. If you're thinking of rehoming your dog online for free, please contact a dogs home or animal charity and they will make sure he/she go to a good home. Many people procure dogs this way and use them as bait. Sad to see its on the rise again but good that RSPCA are creating awareness. Thanks OP!

Haha- just listened and sorry to say its awful. The intro is a minute too long, and the guy isn't singing in time with the backing track. I've voted hot though as I love animals and any support for an animal charity gets my vote...it's just a shame about the song..

Whichever animal charity that you wish to support it's your choice. Check out their accounts/status at the Charity Commissioners Also I believe the RSPCA is the wealthiest animal charity in the UK

deleted40649

So what animal charity is teh correct one to donate?

evilradish

RSPCA are a bad charity to donate to. They are more of a company and little to none of your money actually reaches the animals.

Pipcola

Perhaps not the comments I expected on HUKD but both are correct in their take on the RSPCA. Apart from the RSPCA's political stance the salaries paid to their 'executives' are excessive and lets not forget that unlike other animal charities the RSPCA destroys health animals. Hope this does not offend but the truth often does.

deleted40649

because??
