Well well. A whole seven years after the i3, BMW brings out its second full-electric car. And this time it looks normal. Is normal. It’s just another X3. Which is actually BMW’s b… Read more

Same with woman.

Scottee

iX3 thought it was a tidy price when I seen it so jumped on it

Toob

Ix3 or x3, 345 seems cheap for the electric even with salary sacrifice.

Scottee

Seems expensive, I have one on order due in September, salary sacrifice, no deposit, 10k miles, servicing, tyres and insurance included, £345 a month.

Magnetica

Even if I win Euro million, this deal is still a rip-off.

Aye, not great when your first deal goes cold. Personally looks like a good deal to me, unless someone can show how this can be leased or purchased for much less I cant see how its such a bad deal. I'm not a fan of the 48 months but it can be changed to 36 months for an extra £5 a month. 8k miles too, not the standard 5k. I'm sure I've seen far worse lease deals get heat here.

Jason

Hey @Gato_gateau Thanks for posting your first deal on hotukdeals!

Whitey2048

I will correct myself here. From looking in to it a bit further it would appear that only cars purchased directly from them online come with the 5 year warranty so doubt that this would be included. The attached article is from March 2021 and I cant find anything to say they offer 5 years as standard anywhere.

Whitey2048

You are correct, I've just checked. 5 year warranty on citreons now. Although I also checked the deal and its only an extra fiver a month to lease over 3 years instead of 4. Spec very basic though by the looks of it.

chevpot

Leasing is just covering the depreciation in the vehicle.

adam.yacub

Thanks mate it really was a great deal

aymanhd

That was the deal on offer at that time. It was a mistake and the finance house will lose approx. £10k per car. There was no negotiation as there was no time. It was such a good offer that it was now or never. I used Gateway2Lease as they had to honour the offer. If it was a longer running deal, there would be scope for negotiation. Leasing Options' deal was posted on here, but I don't think anyone actually got their cars. https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/bmw-8-series-gran-coupe-840i-sdrive-4dr-auto-24m-lease-8k-miles-pa-44999pm-2700-initial-150-admin-13200-at-leasing-options-3380892#thread-comments Here's a link to that thread, but I used Pistonheads.

adam.yacub

Can I ask how did you get it that price, like was it a deal or did you negotiate? Also what company was it? Thanks!

Well, description was a bit vague and it's not often that used cars are offered on PCH. You couldn't know that.

phoni

Apologies, this is pretty bad. I have leased from Select previously but didn't realise they did used car leases, and didn't expect them not to mention that it was a used car! They label lots of car models on their site with "[2020]", "[2020.25]" etc, and clearly that doesn't mean what I thought it means.

Zosia

Yeah, they called me and said cars were used. I didn't ask anything after that.

Aardvarkguch

I am a great fan of leasing but this is a terrible deal. I did contact them and these are all ex rental cars which will come with a 2 year RAC warranty and a new set of tyres. However anything routine on these cars will cost a fortune and a 3-4 year old one of these is worth about 25k. So £10 for a £25k car is hopeless and if you want one you should buy it instead of leasing it.

gken74

But it's not a good deal, person taking this deal will need to MOT is and pay for any parts and the manufacturers warranty will have expired as it's 3 years old.

It's so sad. It's like they perfected their designs in the 80s sharknose era and haven't had a clue what to do since. The huge grilles because of the chinese market are the final turd on the pudding. I sort of like the new m3/m4 in spite of the enormous grille, the number plate splits it, and it's less offensive in black. But it still looks like a buck toothed gerbil.

Sulphur.Man

No. BMW design language is an unholy munting mess right now. Only the 6-series carries any sort of grace.

Sulphur.Man

Important word 'tolerance', The cameras might have some leeway programmed in, but legally you can be fined for doing 31mph in a 30 and there's no law to say otherwise.

richteabiscuit

Not exactly good looking though is it?

doggysoft

Can I ask where please. I'm looking for a new car.

Hooray, some one answers the question. Thank you. The japanese gentlemans quota agreement of the 70's and 80's meant that they didn't have to indulge in pile 'em high discounting which meant only upper/middle classes, often retired private buyers could afford them. The typical gods waiting room Eastborune Express. The type of buyer that even a german car was too low rent to be seen in. In turn this meant that they were well looked after, well maintained and not hammered down the motorway with the oil light on or shreded inside by feral youngsters. Even the arch enemy of Japanse cars, rust, was less of a problem due to them only leaving their warm garage twice a week to go to the shops and pick up the pension. I'm not sure this is the case so much these days. When you say second hand do you mean less than 10yrs and sub 100K miles or proper 2nd hand 25yr old banger that somehow always passes its MOT and refuses to die?

Phil_Stone

And of course to put the cherry on top second hand ;)

Phil_Stone

Yes of course, It was through ukcarline - these guys (the link takes you to the same model that I ordered) - I dealt with Lorcan originally and one of his colleagues afterwards as he was on holiday. (I'm sure that the same deal is no longer available, but it does show what's out there if you're prepared to keep looking). It's also worth giving them a ring just in case they have one left or in case they are doing something equally good with another car

awesomegiles26

That's a cracking price for a 3008! Do you happen to remember where you hot it from? I don't recelect seeing a deal on here for one so maybe you stumbled across it your self :)

KravBear

£221 a month amortised on a 36 month contract To give you a comparison I got my Peugeot 3008 GT LINE PREMIUM which I'm currently using on an 18 month lease for the same amortised price at the end of last year. The Peugeot has metallic paint, 130bhp 1.2 engine (twin turbo and surprisingly pokey for its capacity), Heated Massage Seats, Digital Cockpit, Panoramic Sunroof, Built in Nav etc etc and it's much more practical for me as its taller and more spacious than the Focus which I had previously as a temporary pool car. Which would I have - the Peugeot every time - it's a cracking car especially for the price... The Ford Focus at the same price is probably fine if you don't have a family (I have 2 young children and the Peugeot swallows all their gear, accommodates the baby seats etc with absolute ease plus the kids love the sunroof)!!

J1135

I believe the official numbers for the 1.0 EcoBoost put it at mid 50's I grabbed one of the tourneo connects last year, I've "reliably" been getting 30-33MPG Trash engines IMHO and very rattly/noisy Christ my 2.3L Turbo got better MPG on a motorway run and was vastly more fun to drive hahaha Don't bother would be my advice

nag_sup

(shock) Will have to give it a miss then.

Looks like they’ve updated the site to reflect the fact there is no more stock and they don’t want to sell anymore so cheap. Now £600+ pm and 2k deposit. Therefore I will expire the deal. Thanks

I called up about it and there was only 6 stock cars at this price. All gone, guy from company advised that Marketing should not have put the deal up but I’m sure it was fishing tool to see who is currently looking for a car
