Watchshop refunded the difference, no hassle just sent the link over and done. Very happy with there service

Ordered and had mine delivered Saturday from watchshop at £261.12 i think it was, have emailed them to see if they will refund the difference on this reseller. Watch is lovely looking but I've got to take about 3 or 4 links out as the strap is massive.

Thanks for sharing. Ordered!!

3rd is ga-2000, it's a resin/carbon core model that usually goes for around £100 but can be found on sale for way less. 4th is the MTG-S1000bd-5aer (black & rose gold edition), hard to get hold of new now and pricey when you do find it new.

Right I get you now. I'm intrigued about the mtgs. What are the model numbers of the 3rd and 4th pics?x

Good deal! You can get the one on a bracelet in green at argos for 30quid more which I think is well worth it

One of Citizen's finest.

They do line up. Strange stock photo that.

I don't like that the grooves on the outside of the bezel aren't symmetrical when the insert is lined up to the top.

Time machine - this was a deal! :D

Looks like a bit of a rip-off of the Citizen Eco-Drive watch I bought about 10 years or so ago. Decent looking watch though nonetheless. Is this the radio sync as advertised here or a slightly different model? Seiko Mens Coutura Solar Radio Sync Two Tone Bracelet Watch SSG010P9 (

rrp of £379. Great price and watch.

I have many watches but ive bought 3 of these on ebay now as a moded rolex wish me luck

Better off just saving for the Rolex or getting a Seiko 5 for now. If u know anything about watches, that is ;-)

I had to look twice it does look like a £6000 rolex :{

Identical (y)

Well here’s a photo to help you tell the difference. To clarify, the one below is the ‘Submariner’. There are numerous more fitting examples of Rolex ‘knock offs’. I think you’re safe with this one.

This would look good with a new set of turkey whites and a pair of Huaraches 🤭

That IS white

They should have re-released the original white.

What point out of interest? Seems Philip has deleted all his comments.

Philip - 100% agree with you and your points

Are you for real? This is YOUR quote, not mine!! “No watchmaker or reputable site such as use that term as it’s incorrect.” YOU suggested it was a reputable source, I hadn’t even mentioned Hodinkee before that! Yikes (confused)

Can you try to constrain yourself to one response at a time? Just take your time and put it all down at once, cheers. You literally named ONE website as reputable, here’s your quote: “No watchmaker or reputable site such as use that term.” I’ve then quoted you 7 links from the very first page of search results in which use that term, the specific website YOU quoted as a reputable source. I don’t care if Patek doesn’t use that term in marketing materials. I never said everyone needs to use it, I just said it’s a well known term. It is, the point has been evidenced multiple times now. You’re demonstratively wrong and at this point it’s embarrassing. I don’t understand the mindset of people who would rather argue than learn something new.

Ah at last something we can agree on! Hodinkee is a reputable site, I also enjoy their articles. Interestingly when I did a Google search for "Hodinkee internal bezel" I found these 7 articles referencing internal rotating bezels on the very first page of results; Perhaps we should leave it there.

Tempted however I never wear a watch

Clean dial for the Seiko. The Visodate works well on different straps. Not that i have bothered to change mean

Fuyugeshiki with the power indicator and date wheel or plain? Would like a Visodate myself but don't really get to wear the 'smarter' watches I have now so it won't get worn( that's me trying to convince myself!)

Yep .. A Fuyugeshiki and another Visodate are on my list ..

Could be some good finds when they open back up in that case, as long as the sale prices are still on!

A sports watch more practical than a Dress watch who would have thought?

We have a family owned jeweller in the town that sells everything from Patek's to Seiko. Many years ago I was in the market for a Patek Nautilus. His advice was to buy a cheaper diving/swimming type watch. His logic was that if anything went wrong with the more expensive diving watch, it wold be cheaper to from his advice seals and crowns can deteriorate if not serviced on a regular basis. This was borne out when my Calatrava fell off my wrist and dented the case. Rohne Products (Patek's UK service agent) wanted £2000 to repair the case. I bought a Samurai Limited Edition version of this watch in Florida for $215 (on sale). The time keeping is within the parameters for such a watch, its very well made for the money and overall it offers great value for money. My point is that at this price point, its not a lot of money in the real world of watches and for me I can happily swim in it, without a worry about damaging it. Mine came with a 3 year guarantee and I know from previous experience Seiko do stand behind the guarantee. For the money its hard to beat.

I was only teasing. There is definitely some style cues that both have in common. Yes Seiko make some really robust watches for scuba diving and they also make some great luxury watches under the Grand Seiko Moniker.

Or an MR2 like a Ferrari... Seiko actually always made good dive watches from my understanding. It looks very similar is all I was saying... imitation is the highest form of flattery and all that...

I think you should look at what it takes to make an automatic watch. Genuinely, if you educate yourself you'll see Seiko don't just make entry watches, they make very luxurious watches such as the Grand Seiko and the even lesser known Credor. Do some homework and perhaps you might actually enjoy an automatic watch.
