These arrived today..... Excellent quality. Great to see its got removable insoles as well, which is another quality factor. Cheap high street stuff tends to have stitched soles so it becomes a tighter fit when putting in your own and when the original sole starts wearing away (or sand gets in them), they are ready for the bin. Anyway, a tip for those after more of the Hilfiger range for super cheap (and to stop me buying more), go and have a look on Amazon. If you sort the prices low to high, you can find some massive bargains on stock that only has 1 or 2 items left at certain sizes. The other day I bought a pair of TH denim Brooklyn shorts for £25. RRP is £70+, cheapest price elsewhere online is around £45. For other sizes on Amazon it was £50+. My size was £25 and with just a few left in stock. After buying, the price shot up to £54 and has remained at that price since. They are top quality and the most comfortable pair of shorts I've ever worn. Current example: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07LBMRV25/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1&psc=1 Tommy Jeans essential Chino shorts (Limoges Blue). Size 32w: £27.94. Size 31w: £51.01. Size 36w: £47.72. True RRP is around £55, cheapest price elsewhere £32 + £3 delivery. "Flame scarlet" is also around £27 for that size on Amazon but other colours are £40+. It's also eligible for Prime Wardrobe so you could order those (+1 other item to meet minimum) and try them for free for 7 days. Another current example: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tommy-Hilfiger-Brooklyn-Yellow-SUNSHINE720/dp/B07JYS8HQ3/ref=sr_1_9?dchild=1&keywords=hilfiger+shorts&qid=1587032021&sr=8-9 Price for those shorts are up to £78.34. RRP is £60/£70. Size 30w in that colour is £26.15, other sizes are £61. The usual selling price online is around £40.
Damn, although if it was September where everything was fully lifted, kids back at school, lost trade of summer hols (possibly many will have credit vouchers?), there could be "come and get me" prices to tempt those who could go on hols during term time, but usually don't as they can't or won't afford current prices. After all, the next half term is at the end of October and in that week only so many flights/seats can exist to take that family away for a week during that week (opposed to the 6 weeks summer hols time)
Living with hopes it not a good approach to life. Carpe diem.
I wouldn't get your hopes up too much. Supply remains static as holiday homes aren't going anywhere (the owners might change but the resorts will still exist) but everyone who's had to cancel will be looking for a holiday finally, so demand skyrockets, meaning prices will go up as well.
I'm staying optimistic that come August/September all will be fine again and holiday companies will be putting some great deals on to make up for all that lost trade. Seeing those wavy heat lines on a scorching day, blue seas, mountainous views, that unique smell in the air of overseas heat/vegetation, the misses moaning it's too hot constantly and that she needs a sit down..... and the all time classic..... blisters on feet after 10 minutes of walking in fancy designer flip flops (Hugo Boss) that I paid £40 for thinking they made me look "dapper", and then ending up walking bare footed most of the time down the streets and carrying them (embarrassed) ..... Ah, it's been too long already.
