Email came through today, looks site wide. Good until 31st March

They should do, just confirmed a price beat for some Rukka gloves for me. They’ve also done the same in previous years on Black Friday deals (saved me a fortune on a Nivala suit). I’ve also found their customer service to be excellent

Great info! Reading Motorlegends T&C's, there's no doubt they'll beat any offer by 10%. Bearing in mind I was just about to spend £2,188.97, that's some hefty saving. Screen grab and email sent to them already! Thanks again. (highfive)

Actually, seems Motolegends are prepared to price beat (10%) any competitors item even when using this discount code. So if Motolegends gave anything SBS have, drop them a line and you should be able to get another 10% off. Edit: They also do a price match for FC Moto in Germany (who have insanely cheap prices and 15% off right now). Motolengends link

Sorry! Posted the deal as soon as the email landed. But you should try haggle, they usually knock 10% off (doubtful you’ll be able to get them lower though, they refused to do so on a price match for me). Alternatively wait until Black Friday if you can hold out, last 3 years running they’ve done a site wide 20% discount

The chap upstairs who fits helmets at MotoCentral in Hinckley really knows his stuff. Highly recommend going to see them if you're in the market for a new lid. They do price match but only to a point. YMMV

Would also recommend fellow bikers check out MotoCentral based in Hinckley. They are round the corner from where I live but have a great online service for buying and shipping. Certain items on occasion seem to be discounted at really good prices for no apparent reason. I bought some Alpinestars summer boots that were priced much lower than anywhere else at the time. Customer service has always been top notch from my experience.

I try to use Motolegends as much as I can (who offer a 10% price beat, against sale prices) as their customer service has been amazing in my experience. Bought a few bits from SBS in the past and the only issue I’ve had is when I was in store and ready to buy a summer suit there and then, but they refused to match a 15% discount I had with BikeStop, best they would do was 10%. But am also a fan of GetGeared, who also have offers on periodically. Might be worth holding out for Black Friday next month, had some killer deals on over the last few years.

I’d really recommend using get geared instead. Sportsbikeshop’s customer service had gone to the dogs lately.

This is with Bikesure, as long as I have it on at all times parked away from house they reduced renewal by £20. This could be because of competing quotes I told them about difficult to say. 43 male - London - MT09SP - 3K per year - 1yr Noclaim - 3 points = £264 TPFT

Hey, any idea how much it knocked off roughly?

Maybe it's just me, but I've had loads of oxford stuff over the years and nothing they make seems to last over a year.

Good price, good lock, I like Oxford stuff, heat added OP. Waiting for a voucher from SBS before I buy some panniers.

Shark S900 Dual Special Edition Motorcycle helmet - Matt Black £129.99 at SportsBikeShop

Great helmet at great price

Thanks for the post, just bought. I am doing up my 24 year old Suzuki bandit. So I thought I would replace my 24 year old helmet as well.

Lol thought for a moment it was a serious question as some helmets really mess your hair

It's thermoplastic so if your just planning to bump your head on the shed roof, you'll be fine.

I have this helmet and find it well vented even when closed which can be bad for colder rides . Great for summer though

Thanks for the feedback (y)

RST gear is now CE certified where applicable which means it's triple stitched on the seams and passes abrasion testing. 'AAA' being the best down to 'A'. Their old gear might not have been great but anything made in the last 3 - 5 years is very good. Some of the premium brands are terrible so it pays to do a little research.

I’ve got a full RST setup (pants/jacket/gloves/shoes). Absolutely love it. Only criticism (as with most leathers i guess) is that it’s very heavy. Other than that, the quality is excellent for a very fair price if you can get the stuff on offer. Just need to find a quiet lid now!

Yeah, well some of the premium brands aren't that good. I'd not usually touch RST after seeing several sets fail badly in crashes - I've an old pair of their leathers and I'd sooner crash in jeans... But at this price point, especially with level 2 hip armour, there isn't much 'branded' gear that can compete. So worthy of heat I reckon.

Just as good as the premium brands without the price tag.

Nothing to see here move along .....Lockdown waisters ..... ;)

Same experience I had with it - there was an awful whistle from the visor at anything above about 30MPH. The fit and finish was also pretty bad, the thing would leak water in through the sides of the visor. Last time I bought a cheaper end helmet and has pretty much put me off the brand. Went for a Schuberth C3 Pro to replace it after a couple of months and then the AGV Sport Modular Carbon a few years later after the C3 was looking pretty worn out - both of which have been great, the C3 edges the AGV though as far as noise but then the weight of AGV is amazing for a flip up.

I have the original Duke and pinlock is a gamechanger. I would buy this if I was still riding. Bike has been parked outside rusting away since pre lockdown. Heat!

Can't comment on the lid but I've used sportsbikeshop a few times and they're spot on highly recommend the shop (y)

Dunno about the rest of this (sorry), but their face masks are the best you'll find imo. Muc off that is.

OK, my kit hasn't got the soap hoping the fitment for the adjustable nozzle is a 1/4"

It came with a foam bottle. Unfortunately worx is incompatible with the karcher/nilfisk accessories

I don't see my local motorcycle shops using these. They just use a standard pressure washer and a certain amount of common sense which prevents squirting the grease out of any bearings. I like Muc-Off products but unless you don't already own a pressure washer this seems a bit blingy.

Surely you’d be better off buying a cheap karcher k2 and buying the other bit separately? They don’t mention the specs of the pressure washer, so likely not to be too good.

Thanks Gazza I've emailed SBS to see if they can counter this on my order... great service though, they have already dispatched half my order and it will come tomorrow.

Then that would be a 'nobrainer'

This may work out cheaper than the Oxford laminate jacket (depending where you buy or use above discount I posted) 100% with you, looks better and higher spec. The Oxford one will need to drop down in price soon.

These are much better all round than the Oxford Mondial Pro; Fit, construction, design and armour. I personally think the Richa laminated suit is a better choice for a budget laminated suit. But the RST is still way better than the Oxford.

Motolegends will beat this price by 10% if you buy from them with their price promise Motolegends Richa Infinity Pro

I wouldn't expect otherwise, but personally while riding in the (other) waterproof gear I slap on fluorescent overtrousers and overjacket anyway when it's raining -- both to protect my gear from being covered in grime (which will impact breathability), and to increase my visibility.

Yes, true. I guess it depends on your expectations and budget.

The 115 Good reviews on the Sportbikeshop website seems to indicate that most buyers are happy with this budget jacket. It has the limitations that Bentobox mentions, but you have to look at those in the context of the price and the how you are going to use it. The Richa Infinity Pro listed on HUKD is a far better jacket, but is 2 1/2 times the price.

Because I've tried them out and most the competitors. They are junk IMHO. Not 100% waterproof, (check out what people say. But seems the seams can leak). An odd fit/shaping, (very large neck aperture, with an adjuster that comes undone easily). Plenty of bad design features, (very short body with not enough overlap between that and the pants, neck aperture. The thermal liner in the pants is longer than the shell). Feels very light and cheap. No back protector. Just pay a bit more and get the Richa or RST suits. Both have better fit, finish, material, design and come with a back protector and are both D2O armour I believe..

Why do you say that?
