I could just upload them online and have them sent through in the post. Saving vast sums of money if I wanted better quality honestly.
Impossible to get a laser printer for this price that can print decent quality photos.
I don't know how it is with original ink but I have tried the cheap compatible inks with pictures. They are fading after a year. I would recommend to use one of the services on some websites like 2 quid for 50 pictures. At least the pictures last longer.
I'm after a decent printer, cheap ink, mostly for photos, but other docs occasionally too. Any recomendations?
I don't think I've gone near a inkjet in years.. & I still think there is good reasons I don't.
Ha ha! There's nothing like a cheapshot at free advertising, is there? ;)

If you want a sharp family photos, get a Pixel 3 :) Reason being is tha that phone has a great camera and being a phone, you will be able to capture more of your precious family pictures than having a huge camera. And it takes great videos too. Until 2021, backing up to Google photos are unlimited and in full res quality.
Im after sharp family photos mainly, dont mind any brand and dont want to spend crazy money. The a7 had good quality but no stability and some photos were not as sharp. Sold my 70d due to not using it much because it was too big with 3 lenses. I dont know, phones are getting good but still not to the level of them cameras i think.
Personally I would go for the 6D2 unless you really want to invest into their RF lens.
