You can port in a number any time. I'd recommend getting it setup first, making sure you get good signal before porting your number in. I once gave a PAC for a new SIM and the delivery took longer than expected. You could be left without your 'phone during such time! Also felt aggreived that the contract started at the time of order, not registering the SIM on delivery. I was effectively charged for the time it was in the post! Can't recall who it was but it might have been TalkMobile...

At home I seem to be getting between 3mb and 46 mb. At work I'm getting 90mb which is where I use most of my data. I do seem to have a good signal though at home compared to 3 which is almost at the end of contract. If the signal remains stable then I'll be switching to Talkmobile as 3 is not as good at our home as it used to be.

No I said I told them the date when ordering to swop over and it arrived changed over. If done when it arrives it would complete the next day .

Yeah I found this to be a drawback, but no HD Voice is also I think apparent, having been on Vodafone, Three, EE & o2 over the last year you defo tell the difference in call quality

Same issue here Under 10 megs, same device, same spot & Voxi is 60 megs. Obviously on busy base stations TM is still provision programmed like a external MVNO that CarPhoneWarehouse still own. TM & Voxi are both Voda in-house MVNO’s so the speeds should be comparatively similar.

depends on your location. I have the exact opposite experience. I got no signal inside my house or local sainsburys with plusnet or EE. I got some signal with 3, ID Mobile and Smarty.

Assume you are west coast as Voda/o2 agreed at Joint Venture www.cornerstone.network that 5G would not be overlapped. Vodafone took West & o2 took East. 5G hardware is currently non standalone and has to be bolted on to 4G transmitters. Thus a lot of Vodafone base stations have new hardware even without 5G (future proofing) and increased backhaul pipe bandwidth. Certainly East coast here in a major city means saturation & TM on Vodafone provisioning is kicking in. Are you in a built up area or the sticks?

Yeah but Virgin is the dominant MVNO player so their wholesale contract will be better than Lebara, I might do Virg if I can be bothered after Lebara etc

At £10.50 per month for 15GB it is a decent deal - not spectacular, but good I'd estimate. Heat given. EDIT Yep, it is good for 15GB without including cashback, three based options or 24month contracts. Next best is a 1 month contract with TM 12GB for £8 via MSE https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cheap-mobile-finder/sim-only/ There is a cracking 24 month redemption cashback deal on there (make sure to amend filter to include redemption) - Vodafone (thus VeryMe offers), 60GB over 24 months, £9.50/mth after redemption & before probably a few pounds TCB/Quidco! If you have Vodafone broadband, but no VF mobile, you will save another £2 or 3 per month!
