Does anyone know if you can use this code more than once per address? thanks

hot hot hot cheers

whats the website i go to thomsas cook or hilton??

this has caused immense hassle for me.
i was about to book a hotel when i seen this. and luckily my hotel was on t/c website and the code worked. all good so far.
when the final payment with the £30 off was to be taken it said the voucher couldn't be used.
i met all the criteria on the terms and conditions.
so i decided to call them.
after 2 hours no one could tell me why the voucher was being refused. i said not to worry and just forget it. after i got off the phone i received a conformation email for the full amount +£30.
i never authorised this payment!! on the phone , i got loads of apologies and it has been a IT fault etc etc. i was promised i would be reimbursed immediately.
was annoyed as i was taking the kids out today and the simple task of booking 2 nights in a hotel had taken me 2 hours and finally i had been charged for a booking i didnt authorise.
anyways , go out and forget about it. return home this evening to see a cancellation email.
and of course a cancellation fee of £17.
what a nightmare
all i wanted was to book a room for 2 night and now this mess.
no one from thomas cook wants to know about it , say its expedia as they run the website? so i get passed back and forth.
will give them a chance to call me tomorrow although thats highly unlikely.
i doubt they are allowed to hold my card details on their system , i didnt authorise the payment so i think its fraud so i will contact bank etc and see if that eventually gets someone to call me up and quite simply refund me the £17 and whatever the call charges are , maybe £5.
the 3 hours i have wasted on my sunday and the kids may as well be forgot about.

2 days of this now
just spent another 3 hours on the phone tonight , on hold for 38 minutes there when it finally went dead as i presume they left at 10pm.
disgrace!!
today when i called , i was again apologised to.
i was told this would all be sorted out , i would get the £30 off and a further £25 to cover the cancellation charge and phone calls.
all quite reasonable i thought , i lose my time but am happy to finally get the hotel that i need to book anyways and i wont be that much out of pocket.
what i had to do was pay the full price through sales of £92.
then i would be called by customer services to deduct the £30 and £25.
of course this didnt happen.
so again i have been made to pay £92 for a room that is advertised as £62.
i of course called back , i was then told that there was no record of any such offer.
it is hard to keep calm in these situations , however i was assured that previous phone calls would be listened to and i would be called back.
4 hours later and no one called me.
i again called and sat waiting for 40 minutes and didnt even get an answer.
i cant begin to explain what an absolute joke this is.

i will not be calling again.
i will call in person to a local thomas cook shop and sort this out once and for all.

to date i have paid £184 for 2 nights in a travelodge.
this has been taken already from my debit card.
last night the calls cost £7.29
would be the same if not more today.
if i do get the 1st refund i will lose £17 in a cancellation charge for a room i never booked.

i pity the local shop manager when i get there in my lunch break

Sorry to hear about your problem but the code still works fine.

This is awesome. What a hot deal. Found 3* hotels for 2 nights coming in at around £40 thanks to this. decided to take full advantage and make it worth a $15 discount on a 4*.

great

well todays fiasco.
called into thomas cook on my 10am break , had printed a load of emails and a copy of my phone call times and charges from BT , had a brief summary prepared and thought to myself that this will be easily sorted out today and i can move on with my life.
i had decided to call in , give the details over and say i would be back at lunchtime to end this.
not how it went.
i walking into the high street shop that said THOMAS COOK on all the signage and window dressings , i started to tell the manager the story and she stopped me saying that even though the shop said thomas cook , it was in fact nothing to do with thomas cook . com.
i threw a bit of a wobbler but the woman was ok , she explained and said even she cant get into the systems to check bookings etc from the codes that i had. however she said that she would use her emails and numbers to see if she could find someone to sort this mess out , she took my number.
at 12 she called me to say that she had just spent 75 minutes on hold to thomas cook .COM. that was the number she had instore , she said it went dead after that time.
she called some thomas cook retail hod numbers and got a number for me.
she said that she called it and was answered right away but they couldnt deal with the query even though she was a shop manager because they could only discuss it with me , the lead traveller.
so anyways , she gave me the number and i called it.
it did indeed answer right away.
the girl said she couldnt do anything until she got the reference numbers for the booking.
she tried all of them , the cancelled one , the current one and said there is no record of you ever booking anything with us. she used my surname etc etc and again nothing.
she said there was nothing i could do with her as she had a blank on me in her records.
she said all you can do is call the original number and wait again.
so i finished early at 3 and went to the office.
i called and waited till 3:30 , i got through and the girl went through all the same shyte that i had been telling every tom dick and harry for 3 days now.
she said , would you like to book the hotel sir??
i think i lost a year of my life in stress after that.
so i lost it a bit and got supervisor on the phone.
she went through everything , said there was only a booking made with the call centre yesterday for £92.
she said that she could refund the £30 off as was stated on the website.
i said i had already been charged and had a cancellation fee of £17 for a hotel i didnt book.
she said that I HAD MADE THIS BOOKING MYSELF ONLINE AT HOME AND CALLED ON SUNDAY TO CANCEL IT!!!!
my head is melted at this point , i said are you seriously trying to tell me that i am making this up?
she said according to our records you made a booking online on sun 3rd and called our centre shortly after to cancel it.
i threated her then, i said i will not rest until this mess is sorted out.
i took her name and she changed her tune.so she asked for all the information again , times of phone calls etc , i had them from BT so i gave them to her.
this was at 4:45 after nearly 2 hours.
she said she was going to listen over the phone calls and would call me back this evening.
thats as far as i have got.
to say i am angry is an understatement.
to date there is still £184 taken from my bank account and no sign of any refunds.
to date i have been offered £30 off this.
i am unsure now if i even have a booking as it cant be found on some systems.
i am ready for the looney house .
i will update the next chapter as and when it happens.

this morning however i got an email from them.
i have been refunded £91 and thats it.
i cant take anymore , going to solicitor this morning and i dont care if i have to pay hundreds to them. i will not allow this company to treat me in this way.
i am owed £30 for the "voucher" and a further £15 for my phone call costs.
the refund they have given me is for a booking that i didnt even make !

Why on earth would they not validate the voucher refund,it's on their web site??
Hope this gets sorted for you....... will watch out for the next result.

ended up today trawling the internet for email addresses.
found one that got me a response from a director of thomas cook.
she finally gave me a further email address where my complaint has at least been acknowledged.
i have been given 28 days for a response.
i have also sent a letter to head office by registered post.
i will wait a couple of weeks then start legal action.
will update any further developments or the final outcome.

7:30pm tomorrow on BBC1!

They have changed it to minimum spend of £150, the image below now says min £150 spend - its on the top right corner of hotel viewing page.

However they have not changed any of the T&C's especially point '3' as listed above saying minimum of £0

Minimum £150 spend as listed in small print at the top of advertising though no change to T&C's.
It wont let me book anything under £150 with codes says' price restrictions apply'

Certainly not as hot as it was, but I just got two nights in the 5* Caledonian Hilton in Edinburgh city centre for £129 + Quidco which is a bloody good deal whatever way you look at it.

Don't know why this is expired, I used it to save £30 and get a really good deal. Just make sure that you fulfill the requirements of the offer.
Thanks op.
I would have given heat but can't since it's expired.

well at last i have an outcome to my tribulations.
i had paid £184 for a hotel room advertised at £62.
after hours of telephone calls to premium rate lines i still got nowhere.
no one could find my booking and the call centre said the reservation code wasnt a thomas cook one , so in their words " its nothing to do with us"
the same attitude applied in the high street branch of t cook.
eventually i got a response from the booking company , wwte4.co.uk.
they were very unhelpful and refunded me £92. this as far as they were concerned was the case closed.
i was not letting this go. i had been offered a room for £61 and had now had £184 immediately taken from my account and only £92 returned.
no one would deal with this.
i then took a free subscription to a finder thing , it was able to give me emails and landlines for the directors of thomas cook.
i emailed as many as i could detailing what had happened.
almost immediately i got an email from WWTE , they said we have finally found your files and we see there is a problem. if you would call us on 0871 ......
no way i was going through all that again. so emailed back saying you have my number call me.
and they did. she apologised and all that said , she would refund a further £30.
i mentioned my phone calls of £13 and she said she would have to ask her manager etc etc.
came back and said that they couldn't refund that without a copy of the itemised bill etc.
i then asked to speak with the manager and told him to forget all about it , i would be showing the unauthorised debit and the itemised bill etc in the small claims court.he went on then to say he would try to organise a further refund of £15. i told him that he had his chance to treat me as a customer and that he would have to deal with this in court.
that ended any communication with wwte.
this was a saturday and wednesday morning a director from thomas cook calls me.
she is very nice , says she has investigated the whole matter. said she couldnt get anywhere for days with this. all she had were my reference numbers and couldnt get any information on my from them.
she said what she did then was make a booking just like i had.
so she started on my journey
said exact same thing happened her. said then she waited for 50 mins to get to an operator and then she was able to speak with someone there who was able to identify who they were etc etc.
so from that she said it was vital that the communication was fixed.
anyways she said she was shocked and fully understood what had happened me.
said that this was a glaring error on both t cook and wwte and their communications.
so she was thankful that they can change their coding etc etc.
anyways she asked how much i was out and i explained and she offered a further £30 as a goodwill gesture, i declined and said all i wanted was the money i was out.
she then asked would i use t cook again., i said if it was a good deal , yes. it would be foolish not to.
so she said she would refund my money to the card and asked for my address to send a formal apology to close the case.
so that was grand.
letter came today with an apology and a further cheque for £50.
i didnt want this or ask for it , but ill take it.
bit of a disaster the whole thing. would of all been sorted out simply with any sort of customer service or more to the point , with someone on the phone who could make a simple decision themselves.
what i learnt was that after many years of online purchases and little or no problems, when something like this does happen , you are so helpless.pushed around from call to call etc.
just a good thing it rarely happens. and in this case , the perseverance to keep demanding i get the rate, i feel a lot of the time they were just hoping i would say , ah its only a few quid , hes give up and forget about it.
