Very disappointing ,having spent £60 the til would not take my £10 discount card and the duty lady manager was a real jobsworth that just wound you up .Scrutinising the bill looking for excuses instead of just getting on with what the voucher said .

Erbauer name was bought by chervon a few years ago. The brushless ext range has no connection with previous erbauer tools. Many of the ext tools are rebadged Skil pwrcore which are reviewed very favourably in the US where they are sold.

nbuuifx

This is cheap with the battery and charger included. Generally I've found that Erbauer can't touch Makita in terms of quality or durability - they can be good for certain accessories though. Also my Makita SDS is 2J so not the best comparison as they make a lot of different models. Mine is a DHR242. Was about this price though and didn't include the battery or the charger. So all in not a bad deal, if you don't have an ecosystem of batteries and chargers, but if you you'd be better to buy a better bare tool for the same money.

Sounds like you may have had a faulty plug on yours

W_jelly1

For similar things we've had more success with using freezer blocks or filling a large ice cream tub or 2 and making large ice blocks as they melt slower than cubes.

Is the plug a standard 3 pin one?

Thanks. Just got this offer

Jaaaaay

They were in fact these - https://www.screwfix.com/p/goldscrew-plus-pz-double-self-countersunk-woodscrews-trade-pack-1400-pcs/1864f?_requestid=394991 Identical specs, countersunk rifled shank etc. So yes they were Goldscrew, and not Turbogold, but I'm not sure on the difference between the two brands to be entirely honest!

bbbazman

Are you sure you're referring to the turbo gold screws in the deal which is what THESE guys are and not the cheaper Goldscrew which is what THESE are? There are cheaper screws but not all screws are the same...

Jaaaaay

Yes every other month or so they drop down from £24.99. I purchased a box on 15/02/21 for £19.99.

wolfy001

I bought for £19.99 from screwfix few weeks back.

Traditional Lap Fence panel (W)1.83m (H)1.83m - £19.20 each with 20% off / £24.20 delivered @ Trade Point (B&Q)£24.20
Fence panels, gravel boards and posts all currently have 20% off until March 31st. Must order £100 worth to get free bulk delivery. ie.. 6x 6ft panels comes to £115.20 delivered.
J4GG4

They don't last 2 seasons max. I bought the same ones 7+ or so years ago and never treated them at all. They were not rotten when I removed them recently, just brittle. New panels up this week and one side has been painted so I will assume it'll last at least 10 years until they need replacing which will do me fine as the plan is to sell this property in about 6 years time anyway. YES, close board panels do last twice as long if not even longer. But what you're stating is false. Fence panels are much like cars. I may have a smart car and you may have a ferrari but, mine will be regularly serviced so will last longer than you think.

Matt222

Thin and flimsy will last you max 2 seasons. Having new fence on Friday 6.6 so nosey neighbour next door won't be overlooking. Panels are 6mm thick, treated will last way more then this

djtezz

From the looks of it they are screwed to the panels rather than the post. I just dont think I have the time and patients to remove them all and replace, but having only a 4ft fence atm isnt providing much privacy. I would probably go for 5ft with 1ft gravel board which is in place

J4GG4

Unfortunately if you want to go with 6ft panels then you're better off getting rid of the existing 3ft posts. It's not a easy job though. I put up some 9ft concrete posts 7 or so years ago and one broke at the base last year.. Getting the postcrete (2 bags of it) out of the ground was a nightmare. Time consuming and requires a lot of elbow grease. The pic you've sent I'm guessing has those planks of week bolted to the 3ft posts either side? If you wanted to do that then you'll need to make sure you can drill into the posts as some will crumble. Also, if they're the old council style posts that hold up a mesh style fence originally, they aren't 6ft spaced apart between the posts. If that's the case, it should be easier to erect new posts as you won't need to get the old concrete out the ground (well a couple you might).

djtezz

Thats my thoughts exactly!!! much rather use an alternative method similar to the below

Just wish I was closer to one of the stores that have them. Ended up picking up a Bosch today for £76 from Axminster Tools instead. To be fair, it's doing the job well.

chrisjackson022

It’s great, used it for over a year - really heavy duty and replaced a cheap vonhaus one. Actually, it replaced 3 Vonhaus models as the rubber rollers melted and belts started slipping and they kept sending a replacement. After the 3rd realised it wasn’t simply bad luck. This Makita one has been great at restores old scaffold boards for furniture/shelving projects

If you get TradePoint 10% discount it’s £405. Whomever you choose to buy from, no denying they are good value packs. The two individual items are typically around £300 each, so decent saving when buying as a pack.

Great deal, came across it myself the other day while trawling the clearance section and when I tried to share on HDUK was told it had already been posted and was directed here, I bought 5 of them, they are huge cases, Ideal for me as a builder, they’re not the same as the ones suggested from homebase!

You could always train for a few years, but I suppose the offer will be gone then ;) still you will have a trade that will be fairly useless in a country that does not build enough houses and has crumbling infrastructure :) on a serious note most of the trade point stuff is the same price! https://www.diy.com/departments/jcb-cordless-18v-2ah-li-ion-brushed-drill-impact-driver-with-2-batteries-with-1pc-50mm-double-ended-screwdriver-bit-jcb-18v-2-kit/5055803339265_BQ.prd see B+Q open to all with the cash :)
