I use Travis perkins daily through my company I'm employed at so see the prices everyday so these are examples. Travis perkins prices are ridiculous. If the general public entered the company they should or will spin round and shop elsewhere. TP should stand for Top Prices
Yes aware of that . They get less profit if you buy it cheaper no?
Toolstation and Wickes are currently owned by Travis Perkins....they get the sale no matter what. Screwfix owned by Kingfisher, same as B&Q
Prices of building suplys have shot up due to all kinds of reasons. Welcome to the desert of the Real.....
Just tried this and even with 10% discount Selco was still cheaper.
Any chance of putting ‘paint’ in the title for future search purposes. Thanks.
Really good product, I purchased from Dulux Decorator centre when it was on offer 7.5L for £27.59. Heat for the price. Got some more rooms to do will purchase more.
I’ve used this for ceilings and the magnolia for walls throughout and it’s great. I tend to add some water as it’s that thick compared to non trade, thoroughly recommend. You can generally rub marks off, and it doesn’t have a shine like some specific bathroom and kitchen paints can have
Oh ok, wow didn't realize it would take twice the amount. Thanks for the info! Will stick with smooth. Do you think my assumption about the rendering was correct then? And the smooth will work fine on it?
Textured take 2 x as many tins. Its got a fine sand in it. Horrible stuff to apply.. Stay well clear textured paint.
If you do go down roughcast route. What about a self coloured smooth k rend finish. Modern and not need painted.
Thanks for the tips. Overspray is my biggest concern with spraying it. My neighbour got someone in to spray there's and they done it on very windy days and it covered our house/windows. I would have the luxury of chosing to do it on the calmest of days so that's one thing at least. I would get my neighbours to move all their vehicles etc where possible. I would attempt it with roller and brush but the thought is simply painful, it would take an eternity. Fine for one full size wall maybe but an entire house. My old man sprayed the back of his house and had no issues at all so that's kind of why I am contemplating it. If I don't do it I might just get it rough casted and be done with it but I do like to tackle all jobs myself where ever I can.
Anyone know the true difference between smooth and textured? Might be a silly question, but I need some to paint over the rendering I have on the front of my house and not sure which to buy. I've sort of assumed it doesn't matter as the texture will come from the rendering?
I must admit, since this comment I have bought one... And a table saw (embarrassed)
There are other videos on YouTube giving the opposite view i.e sure you can you what a mitre saw does with other tools ( like a circular saw ) but (a) it won't be as easy and (b) unless it is big sheet material you can do what a circular saw does with a mitre saw
Can anyone recommend a universal stand for this saw?
Great saw, I just paid 250 for one and I love it (y)

Dewalt dcs575t2 flexvolt power saw with three 6ah batteries (one on redemption from DeWalt - £444 @ Travis Perkins£444 Free P&P Free
Here’s the new one that’s just come out to replace it bit more £££ (DSC578) but 47% more powerful. It doesn’t mention the 3rd free battery so may be worth checking with them directly as all flexvolt sets from authorized sellers should have the 3rd battery for free (supplied by dewalt). toolden.co.uk/power-tools/cordless-kits/dewalt-dcs578t2-54v-xr-flexvolt-high-power-190mm-circular-saw-2-x-6-0ah/?gclid=CjwKCAjw0On8BRAgEiwAincsHEBvOYyVB9eDvDuNGuuH0Y7UkKZo_vUGmtTuQPJ3GmNXaYN9PuiVPxoCnyUQAvD_BwE I’m after the DCS579, version that will sit on the track as well…
Does it include the storage box at that price?
£419.99 on Screwfix(although doesn’t look there’s any stock)
