Yeah, that's all well and good, but what about bankers, CEO's and football stars? Will no-one think of them at this time of year?

yep...leave the orangutans to get burned in borneo & elephants & rhinos to get slaughtered for their tusks & horns in Africa... Sadly being in the wild is no longer the best place for some animals..
Leave the animals alone... their place is not in zoos :(
After the traffic chaos that happened with the half price offer, I'd rather not risk it.
Aren't you a Dad too?
What about granddads?

I'd recommend Blackpool Zoo if you're nearby. Finish it off with a drive down to the beach for some fish n chips (popcorn)
I agree. I find this a poor quality zoo; it was quite small with little to do and it was very difficult to get a good view of the animals that were available. The only highlight of the day is my daughter sat right next to goats in their enclosure - could have just as well visit a farm instead.
Leave the animals alone!!!! Zoo is not their home.

I'm sure nobody cares as much as you do. (highfive)
yes cause they really invited you to come and "rescue" them and put them running around in cages for a lifetime of misery instead. Cause all those other rhinos would be extinct without zoos..Jeez thanks but no thanks with the saviour complex. Call a spade a spade, this is using animals as entertainment for cash.
Although to be fair, they dont get hunted and killed for their horn in a zoo - which they probably appreciate.
Rhinos live in the jungle and not in the zoo for somebody's entertainment... please stop supporting this exploitation in the name of conservation.

Yeah - the elephants went to Blackpool Zoo as part of a breeding program. Chester is my "local" zoo and you would never get in there for £10 though. I love lemurs so this was right up my street with getting so close to them on the walk through and the penguin parade as well just wish we lived closer to take advantage of the offer.
Not a bad day out, however no elephants or lions. Kids generally want to see these and they no longer keep them here. We went last year and we're a little underwhelmed. For the price it's ok, just don't go expecting Chester zoo selection of animals.
It's worth noting they have an excellent soft play on site, which is usually £4 per child, a really decent restaurant from which you can watch the Snow Leopard enclosure and a cafe. So if you don't fancy the zoo on account of it being too busy you can possibly still wear the kids out.
Yeah, think I'll have to pass on that.
Might be better later in week, but be warned. https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/news/local-news/live-long-queues-twycross-zoo-2556335

Thanks Maccy Hope you’ve had a lovely Christmas <3
Missed this tawny, heat added, fab for the teachers and people that work in Education <3
Dates are no good if you work in retail for example. I suppose educators get enough time off to enjoy these benefits. For example, the people at Sainsbury’s only let their employees have Xmas day off. The German discounters give their staff Xmas, Boxing and New Years Day. 2018 and only Xmas day off, Scrooge Coupe is in the money you know.
Great deal op love twycross zoo! Thanks
Same thing aren’t they!

To be fair, there are a lot of hard working undervalued people in those service type industries doing amazing jobs, so I definitely don't hold it against them. My Mrs is a nurse and we'll be taking advantage of this. As for offering it to everyone, I guess you gotta draw the line somewhere
Never really understood this... I mean yes they do a great job however, what about the unemployed, disabled, charity workers or the elderly? Or bin men or anyone really? Why not allow access to everyone with a nominal charge, seems like a fairer way to attract a wider audience.
Sure, if they work for the NHS also.... Moon on a stick some people....
Friends and family get 30% off.
are kids included? T&C are not comprehensive.
