Next cheapest sigmas sports £210 for pair Please note to be run with calliper brakes as opposed hydraulic, wiring kit is seperate ————- The Shimano Ultegra ST-6870 Di2 Shifter … Read more

Rim brake R8150 shifters are pretty similar to R8050 though, they’re not semi-wireless like R8170.

90% profit margin, nice.

They are fine you could use these with current Ultegra rim calipers - pull ratio normally applies to gears . These also have adjustable reach with a 2mm Allen key.

Technically the current Ultegra is now R8100… if you can actually get hold of it (embarrassed)

Good price, you can run them with the R8000 Ultegra series still if needed. Only tangible difference is the R8050 Di2 (and R8070) shifters have 2 new buttons on top which are useful for switching gamin screen etc

10 pack of High5 Gels and Isogels £3.78 (£2.99 delivery) @ Wiggle

Good price for these. Also the Cycle Pack for £7.85 which is the cheapest I've seen it in a long time. Freepost for orders over £20

Nice first deal @mechanoid Thanks for sharing! (y)

Mix honey with water, add a tiny sprinkle of sea salt and you're good to go

Can't find them on Amazon. Do you have a link?

Will give heat but the mixed pack on wiggle are usually around this price. I like high 5- does the job and cheap. Though just started using SiS beta for longer races. Expensive but good carb ratio

Cheaper on Amazon with S&S and discount voucher Not for mixed though which I would not be interested in anyway!

Thanks, just the excuse I need. Have starting a new marathon training block and I prefer to use a belt for a bottle and gels for my long runs rather than a hydration vest.

Yes, yes... but this place sells £3 beanie with a £9 logo on it compared to others who charge more for the logo. It's the best deal for a £3 beanie with a very nice logo on it. I bought one. Love the logo. Worth £9

This is a £3 beanie with a £9 logo on it.

Simano Alfine Di2 internally geared 11 speed hub £139.99 @ Wiggle
Posted 4th JanPosted 4th Jan
Possibly a niche product but if you've got a bike with Alfine Di2 11 speed it might be worth having a spare hub whether to build into a new wheel or for swapping out the gear box. … Read more

Not a Di2 but I upgraded from a manual alfine 8 speed to an electronically shifted rohloff 14 speed. The electronic shifting has pros and cons like not needing to adjust cable tension but shifting more slowly. Makes a lot of sense on an ebike where you can power the shifter from the main battery but that exacerbates the slow shifting as I want to jump many gears moving away from traffic lights. Auto return to low gear when stationary is great.

Works only with the SW-S705 shifter for straight bars. I would have liked to try it with sprinter shifters but no luck.

I've been using an Alfine Di2 hub for about 2 1/2 years now doing around 8,000 miles a year. I love it for its quiet running, the slick, silent gear changes and low maintenance but it's not without its faults; the hub can leak oil the more its used so the cone/locknut has to be adjusted, gears can skip if you apply too much torque plus changing under high torque can damage the motor unit, and if you get dirt into the connection of the motor unit and cable it can be terminal for both parts which aren't cheap to replace. There's a comprehensive article on the Sheldon Brown site with links to further useful information. Coming from decades with derailleur gears it has been a learning experience with several mistakes along the way but I wouldn't give the bike up unless the right bike with the Rohloff E-14 hub came along.

Will this be compatible with any di2 shifter?

You have to use an Alfine single sprocket and you can use either a centre-lock brake disc or a six bolt brake disc with a centre-lock adator. Be aware that this hub is for Di2 and won't work with manual shifting.

Got mine and am very happy with it - though it also took me some 'gentle persuasion' to the legs to clip into the top securely. But can anyone tell me what the slot at the front/back are meant for though…?

Thanks - Mine was not level but I gave it a few wacks with a mallet and it works absolutely fine now. - Placed a few heavy items on it and it works great. - I haven't owned the more expensive Wahoo but this looks very similar and it saved me £135! Can't complain.

Mine was slightly out on the one side but knocked it in with a nylon hammer and it popped in

We’ll, received mine today. Set it up, minor cosmetic marks, nothing too major. However it is defective. The blue clips on each side are ever so slightly different in size which means the left clicks in to place no issue. The right side never clicks in due to the blue button being the wrong size. It’s either it was out on backwards or too high. Has anyone done a return / got a replacement from Wiggle before

adidas Terrex Free Hiker Primeblue Hiking Shoes - Savannah - £75 @ Wiggle

Savannah colour down to £75 - a fair few sizes still in stock

My word that is an ugly looking boot. Good price though. 🔥

Agreed! I managed to get the terrex free hiker GTX COLD.RDY (zip instead of laces) from m&m direct before Xmas for £129….. unreal pair of boots, so comfy and waterproof :)

Good saving - do they come with a cover to hide the dreadful colour scheme?

Are these good for snow? I have the GTX 420 ones, but I'm not sure how good they will feel in cold weather and snow.

DEfinitely go up a size mine are sadly far too tight to be comfy
