We tried this last year, planted trees and reseeded the grass verges through the village where they were damaged by car parking. Lasted a month or two until the school run mums and some selfish residents decided to drive over the trees and their new stakes. Now only one remaining ;( most annoying thing is the road is plenty wide & everyone has driveways, people just have some idiotic desire to park on the pavement or verge anyway.

Absolutely. Its the feature of the front garden and is definitely a beauty to watch (awaiting X'Mas to add more lights & decoration into it). It has taken 30 years to grow to this level.
What kind of language are you referring to? What on earth are we debating?
Nice to see Third Wave Feminism alive and kicking. God forbid that we have equality. First, I did not say use the word "automatically". Second, I made no mention of the "poor wee boy/man", let alone use that kind of language. Many would argue that both should take responsibility for themselves. Condoms are sensible for both parties, but we are not debating that. A woman who has many different children to many different men might want to think that her body is her responsibility. (and no, I am not saying that men are not responsible).
Of course you're quite correct,it's the woman who's behaviour we should automatically question. Must be just awful to be a poor wee boy/man that can't put a condom on :/ (Perhaps you just weren't that amusing) 😘
Surely it is the mum's behaviour that would be more questionable? (Maybe you missed the humour).

I hope these are fruit trees. OK for forests but if you can't eat it then don't grow it ;)
Nice find. Will forward to my local parish council and community groups
Yay! good cause, heat added. I suppose I may as well blow my own trumpet and report that my family have appeared on the front cover of the promotion material and on the "plant-a-tree" flyers! Sadly I still can't find those images on their web page :(

Jeez - of course they can plant a tree anyway - it's about raising awareness of the tree charter and putting your name to an idea. People are miserable. Also it has a 'Please tick if you would like to hear from us' option. I have enough nuisance calls as it is, it will drive me nuts if the squirrels start as well :S
