Nice, ive had my family of 4 joined at my local branch for 2 years now, well 3 now, cancelled my daughters earlier this year.
we joined when it was just opening and got a great offer of just £9.99 each permanently.
Cant moan at under £40 for the whole family, and we have 3 floors all very large including a boxing ring and mma cage, punch bags etc...
Dont know if all branches are this good but id highly recommend mine.
They have many bad reviews but i find thats mainly people who sign up for 12 months then try to leave early cancelling direct debit and get charges or debt collection letters.
I cancelled my daughters via the app earlier on in the year and direct debits automatically stopped after 1 month notice, no problem

How did you get yours to permanently stay at £10. I joined when they first opened but mine has gone up to 12.99 earlier this year

I joined my local one on a pre opening offer of £9.99 for life. They wrote to me earlier this year saying they wanted to increase it but I and other members complained and proved the offer with the original email so they backed down and honoured the £9.99 deal
You can also get student discount through totum (nus)

No joining fee
1 month free
£14pm
30day rolling
No contract

So exactly the same as the 12month contract just without the contract
I've bad dealings with this gym

They tried to up ours to 11.99 but i said id cancel all 4 of us as the increase wasn't mentioned at sign up.
Manager emailed someone, im assuming head office, told them we are family with multiple memberships and they changed it back to £9.99
Work off those mince pies fatties
Nightmare to cancel memberships, and they will HOUND you.

Just be aware.
I'm with them as there isn't much choice where we are but the gym is FREEZING cold in winter and there are buckets everywhere to collect water from the leaky roof when it rains. It's about time they spent some money on the place really.

Easiest gym to leave actually, dont even need to speak to anyone. Just go on your app bottom right click cancel membership, it will tell you, you have to give 30 days notice click yes cancel and leave direct debit open for extra month simple, then after 2 payments they will stop taking it.
If you try to leave before your 1 year contract is up or don't understand you have to give 30 days notice as written in your contract and pay 2 more payments from that date then you will have issues but thats your fault not theirs

I joined the Fenton one about 4 years ago on the £9.99 offer, put ours up to £11.99 a while ago, can't find any info that the £9.99 was for life on the sign up email I received.

It’s a shame the one on Victoria Road closed (T Gym?), that was good for the price.

I joined at £9:99, all good for 2years, then was told in February it will be going up to £11:99 to buy new equipment... Still not seen any new equipment...
Sorry to jump on your thread.. I've nearly got enough points for 6 months free membership on the Perks program. Has anyone cashed in their points for free membership, if so when you start paying again is it at your original rate or do they start you again at a new higher monthly rate??

I'm now on my second free 6 months membership after getting I think 7500 points, they just put your direct debit on hold and it starts again 6 months later on the original payment plan.

I have a choice give to a friend or reward yourself.. I'm at Smethwick Gym.

I did read the small print when told of the price increase, it is at there discretion, at £11:99 it's still cheaper than other local Gyms.

Totally agree! After the 12 month I paid for they still wanted another £30 from me..I'd never give them another penny again! They could've let me cancel without me paying them extra for the privilege!

I registered about 2 months before my local one opened and I received an email saying they have membership available at the pre opening offer rate of £9.99 per month with a price4life guarantee

So you didnt understand or read the contract, you have to give 30 days notice, same as most contracted gyms, phone contracts etc...
You willingly signed up with those conditions then slate them after for it 😴 this is why they have such bad reviews

Its probably "got bad reviews" because it deserves "bad reviews"
