Having taken that through as far as my bank's authorisation screen, that first link looks like it's going to take payment immediately - can you confirm that it doesn't take it until the 60 days are up?

Appears it doesn’t work if you subscribe through Apple or Google Play, as in order to get any promotional code to work you need to cancel your existing subscription and wait for it to expire before any code can be redeemed!

Please can someone advise if there is a way round this? I’ve cancelled my Apple subscription but can’t get past this message?

I emailed Strava support and they told me this:

Since you still have an active subscription you won't be able to redeem the promo code you received until your current subscription expires. If you haven't already, please make sure to cancel your subscription. Please note that you will not lose any data during the gap between when your subscription expires and when you re-upgrade.

Click here to manage your subscription with Apple if you're viewing this ticket using a mobile browser.

Subscription activated through Google Play:

Please open the Strava app and click ... Profile/You tab > Settings (top right) > Subscription Membership and you should be redirected to the subscription management page in the Google Play app where you can cancel the subscription.

When your subscription expires and your account is back to free, you can redeem the promo code you received by going to the link below:

Anyone got this to work with an existing annual subscription? It’s saying I have to cancel my existing mobile subscription before redeeming. Do I have to cancel that, then redeem, then renew my existing subscription when it all expires?

Heat! Brilliant, thanks. I had an annual plan which still had almost a year on it and this extended it.

A watch-out is this will re-enable auto-renew even if previously disabled, so make sure to cancel your subscription in strava.com/acc…unt (this keeps subscription open until the end date)
