Using electric blanket and mattress topper.

I have a mattress topper - a bit like a puffy duvet which secures to the mattress on the corners and lies flat under the sheet to make the mattress more comfortable. I now want to use my fitted electric underblanket but does anyone know if both the topper and electric blanket can be used at the same time, and - if so - in what order?

It would seem obvious to use the electric blanket first and then put the topper on top, but will the heat come through?

If anyone else has tried this I would be grateful to know what they did!

Thank you for the answers, my fellow HUKD'ers never let me down! So far it is 3 under and 1 on top! I shall try the blanket under the topper and then, if that doesn't work, I shall try the blanket on top (traceym). At least I now know I can use them both at the same time so hopefully we shall be toasty (I slept in my huge fleecy dressing gown last night, plus socks....you can just imagine :p. Thank you!

You're not wrong! It's cold here in Scotland you know, so sod the passion, I would rather be warm...the other half would probably agree too, we must be getting old...:D
