Mobile phone for a 81 year old

My Mum desperately needs a new mobile, her 7 year old LG is on it's last legs!
Any recommendations for a replacement, ideally not too large, simple to operate and less than £100.
Thanks

I tihink the phone is a lot less important than the person setting it up and installing launchers/software etc that will make it a 'simple phone'. I have done this on many phones over the years for elderly relatives. You remove/disable/hide all the apps that are not wanted, turn of all notifications etc apart from whatsapp and whatever else they use, install big button apps etc etc .....I could go on, but basically this can be done on any phone. It's the set up that's important - not the phone. Just give it to a tech savy person to do. Most teenagers will know how

Got my mother a Motorola g22 recently for about £80/90 and she seems happy with it. (upgrade from original moto G so there was some familiarity already)

Is she just using it just for calls or is she using it to surf the information superhighway.

Mostly for calls and texts, with some WhatsApp, so no serious surfing!

LG had quite a simple Android skin closer to stock Android, so would stick with something that has a similar user interface or could use Nova Launcher if going for a device from companies like Xiaomi with a very different user interface.

A Nokia, Motorola or used Google Pixel could be good options
