It is a good price but the price of a flight home could be extortionate . Probably better going through a proper agent who will quote for flights and transfers too.

    Any recommendations for the agents?

I'm literally sat in a Premier Inn lobby waiting to check in after a fantastic 12 day transatlantic cruise from New York.  We love these type of cruises, might not be for everybody but you get to see some fantastic places and relax for a very good price, with like minded people.  Would highly recommend.

How old are you, just curious. I take it no kids, or adult kids

    November crossing?
    peakbear's avatar
Atlantic crossing is great in November going from cool to warm and the mid Atlantic is dead calm generally and you can spend the day watching the flying fish from the top deck (if they are around)

10 days at sea on this class of MSC ship in the winter is not something I could recommend. It's hard to even relax lazily with winter temperatures outdoors and everywhere indoors being permanently packed.

Martinique and BVI and Antigua and St Maarten will be very warm - The first 2 days will be cooler I agree.

Terrible reviews of this ship on TripAdvisor. Don't believe me, just take a look. (edited)

Reviews of what? There will be plenty of people here who have used MSC, just get opinions from them. I have used them once (Cape Town -> Genoa for 400 quid) and they were fine. The food was a bit weak on the boat who were mostly German or South African.

Calling Le Havre the "gateway" to Paris and Dunkirk is a bit of a stretch

How does MSC compare to Norwegian?
    Jagmanx1's avatar
Norwegian is a class above by all accounts.

What do you expect with a "repositioning" cruise ??

The boat won't be coming back for another 6 months

Is American style tipping expected on this assuming the usual clientele is American?
    getmore4less's avatar
If booked UK they are included in the cruise fare.

The usual clientele depends where the ship sails.

This TA likely to be Brits and European as it picks up Southampton and Le Harve.

Then does round trip Caribbean from Barbados (UK fly packages available) Guadeloupe and Martinique.

I’m on the lookout for a solo equivalent of this cruise. Did one last December and it was awesome.
