Had my house broken into a few months back I have mine in a Faraday box. Somehow they broke in saw the box and didn't realise what it was.

Obviously they were idiots but the extra money paid for itself.

Also beware of certain tradesmen especially when they need to use the toilet... Always keep an eye on them inside the house.

One of mine was always commenting why i put CCTV etc. I responded "like Mourinho says, only thieves are scared of VAR cameras" (edited)

I can’t comment on these exact pouches, but my sister’s car was stolen last week. They used a scanning device outside the house - despite the key being in a faraday pouch, it somehow managed to leak signal to the scanner and they stole the car.
We researched afterwards and apparently plenty of these (especially cheaper) faraday pouches leak, and/or deteriorate over time. Effectively useless.

Pouches do leak over time from what Ive seen. Due to wear and tear and the material starts to break down. What I bought was a box which came with some pouches and some cards to keep in your wallet.

The box seems better for when at home. Pop all your keys in the box and close the lid. Simple. Put the keys in the box and put them by the car door. Blocked the signal perfectly. Only think is if the box is not closed fully it still leaks the signal.

Bought one of these. The box version. Came with two pouches an 2 cards as well. Only bought one as our car got stolen. Only owned it for 3 months. Soo annoying. The irony is I didn't even realise how easy this type of theft was. We kept the keys upstairs at night so I assumed that would be good enough. Our other car which is also keyless which we have had for 4+ years never got stolen so I guess we assumed nothing would happen. They were obviously targeting specific cars. Insurance paid out this week but it's bloody shocking and sad that car manufacturers haven't done more to stop this happening. I would be happy to not even have keyless. Pushing a button on a fob is fine by me. It should be optional to turn off the constant signal from the key. Would stop this instantly.

You can turn keyless off for some manufacturers cars. Usually a special sequence of button presses on the key.

These fail after a few months . Went through several until I bought an rfid signal blocking box instead.
If you are using one I advise to check its still working every few weeks.

My advice is sell the the damn car and buy a car with a traditional key ,
Totally stupid gizmo to have in the first placa .

I agree it’s stupid but even my 16 year old Mondeo has keyless ignition…I also have 2 more cars that are less than 3 years old with keyless ignition…suggests its not easy buying one without

I have one like this but with a keyring which I prefer, it's attached and still can fit in the wallet part. It means you don't have to use two hands, I can use it easy with one hand.

My dads neighbours son has his lexus rx stolen when inside a restaurant last week, could have been avoided if he had one of these. Glad my car doesnt have keyless, awful idea. (edited)
