Would this be any good to power a few corded power tools from? Chop saw, circular saw etc?
    SeanRTK's avatar
Not really. 200w maximum for the socket outlet. I'd imagine most power tools will be way north of that.

This is for recharging phones, tablets, drones, go pros etc while camping or travelling.

What sort of electrical items could you run off this?
    richstroller's avatar
Portable projector, laptops, camping lights, mini fridge (but not for long).

I had one as a UPS but it didnt work - in summer it would overheat and cut power.

Now it sits in the shed which has a solar panel on the roof that charges it - and subsequently its charges a few things down there and runs some night lights etc...

It's not powerful enough to run a strimmer - I tried

I have no idea about electrics, can any of you clued up folk can tell me whether this would run a Meaco Arete 10L dehumidifier, and for about 4-6 hours ?

(I want to use it in a small room to dry clothes, but have no plug outlets in there, maybe this might be good enough to run it ?)

Or what Jackery should I be looking at ? (edited)

A dehumidifier uses about 300 watts - so this will get you about 50 minutes of runtime.

These are a game changer for camping. Last weekend I ran a 30L camping fridge all weekend (friday evening to sunday evening) at 4 degrees on a 256Wh Jackrey battery, which is more or less the same as this. I also managed to charge a couple of iphones off it. I took a 80W solar panel, that I would have used to charge the battery, but didnt need it.

I'm really surprised by this. I have a similar camping fridge but it's 40W. Surely that would only last 6.4 hours based on 256wh capacity? What wattage is your fridge?

Brilliant for camping... Note: Only use a compressor fridge with this, those Peltier 'coolboxes' would drain this (or any) battery in a couple of hours...

I bought this a while ago and it saw me through a mini power outage yesterday morning. Worked perfectly. Planning to take it camping with me soon so hoping that it works well!

Get something like this be used to charge a mobility scooter using a mains charger which is 24 volts at 8 amp. The batteries are 2x80 ah?
    Dan_8j4's avatar
    No. Not enough capacity.

Good price for this i have the same one but next size up and it great. Got me through 3 power cuts recently. I also use it for my campervan.

I don't get why so many people are WFH and running off a battery. Why not just plug into your wall or use an extension lead if the socket is further away? Surely that's cheaper?
    paul17741's avatar
For most it’s not about using domestically. For me I use mine whilst camping or in my campervan when there is no electric hook up.

These big power banks look fun, but I think they're overrated unless you know they fit your needs exactly.

If you're only planning to use this to recharge devices like phones, tablets, cameras etc over USB, you might be better off with a few standard power banks, such as this hotukdeals.com/share-deal-from-app/4327922

Same USB C power, and you could get around the same capacity by buying 3 or 4 of these. You'd also get the ability to throw one in a bag to carry around with you.

There was another INIU model on HUKD recently that even delivered 140W over USB-C, if you need more power. (edited)

Yeah this sort of size seems to have pretty niche use cases - 200w isn't very much power and most modern low power devices can be ran off usb c nowadays.

If they could do a couple of kW them these would be awesome as portable power packs for corded tools. You don't need a lot of runtime for this to be super useful.

A bit small in capacity but a good price.

I've used to run a wifi router... it was sometimes taking up less than 10W so actually had to disable power saving on the battery.

If you WFH, this will buy you a few hours of laptop and internet use.
    wotguvnotmeguv's avatar
We have two of the Jackerys that have roughly this spec, plus 2x no-name 100w things off Amazon.

All of that can run a router, two separate laptop-and-external-monitor setups, lamps and various phone-charging needs for a full work day.
  14. wotguvnotmeguv's avatar
These are great and massively reassuring when you wfh - I have enough of the Jackery equivalent of these but am still tempted by this price!
    markgh's avatar
Do you have power outages that often? I'm surprised by the number of people using these while WFH.

Wish I could afford this. Be nice to have

Is this appropriate for a camping music festival?
    Dan_8j4's avatar
They have much bigger speakers like 1 million watts or something so this will last about 1/2 second if it could.

I have one. Took it on road trip to Corsica and back.
Absolutely working well, it powered my mini fridge for about 2.5h after car turned off.

Works like a dream. Definitely worth it

what would be a good bang for buck power bank to run an xbox series s plus 32in flat panel for 3 hrs
  22. moshispam's avatar
5.3 hours (fridge 48W [4A * 12V]) if it's continuous - but more likely longer if thermo controlled and only comes on to maintain temp). (edited)
