Looking at this and trying to figure out whether I'll actually use it. Are these actually useful when you have a convection oven?

Yes it has many plusses, first being it cooks things far better than an oven and it runs cheaper than a big oven, also cooks things quicker.

Always makes me laugh when I see pics of the drawers on air fryers.

If the drawers were really filled up like they are in the pics, the food wouldn’t cook properly because the drawer is too full!!

I did have that problem on a cheap one I bought but not with my Phillips.

Reviews seem to indicate some reliability or quality issues. Looks good otherwise.

I had this in the rotisserie version as my first airfrer and it was absolutely awful, i replaced it with an instant vortex and thats been one of my best purchases in my whole life. Completely
    Made my oven redundant. (edited)

Is it an air fryer or a MIG welder?

We got this one a while ago, it has been fine but the touch controls will occasionally start playing up, phantom touches, unresponsive etc. I've put it down to moisturise on the front from steam/hot air when cooking.

Strange, I get the same thing with my Xiaomi air fryer.
