Got it over the weekend for £47.77 and now even cheaper (thankfully amazon refunded me the difference). Colour is better than the picture and Merrell's quality remains very good. At this price it is a steal is you wear size 8.

I got one over the weekend for just under £48 and now gone even cheaper (thankfully amazon refunded the difference). It is a steal at this price if you are size 8. Colour is way better than picture on amazon. (edited)

These are not Goretex, that is the GTX version.

I’ve never had one of these, can I ask is it just the way it’s pictured that it looks sort of shorter around the ankle than a regular shoe, or is it actually different?

It is just the picture, I found them very good and fit perfectly with lots of ankle support (that is why I got them in the first place).

Sports Direct (yes, I know) are doing the 2 GTX for about £75 Inc postage. Bought some for my son the other day

Bought some Moabs from Amazon, they lasted less than a year before they split, leaked and were unusable.
My previous pair, direct from Merrell, were the comfiest shoes ever and they lasted years. I wonder if some cheap knockoffs are being punted through Amazon. Caveat emptor.

Hard to say as will be replacing mine which I got from amazon 2 years ago. Use it a lot and not issues but as I found this so cheap for my size I decided to go for it. Time will tell...........

I've had a few pairs of Merrell shoes recently and the soles are incredibly slippery when wet. No use for any scrambling or even wearing indoors if you come in from a wet outside
