It'll be ridden on the pavement anyway as soon as it gets to a set of traffic lights.

This'll be fine for a turbo trainer I reckon

15mm wheel nut size is a really good size. I should know. And 14 gears! That is so many. No way you’ll get through them, but if you do, you’ll be going like 100 miles an hour, which is really good. I should know.

    Don't forget:

'The rigid suspension lets you feel the road so much better.'

Critical when riding a bike in my experience.

    "The rigid suspension"

A.I. still has some way to come...

Bike looks alright for the money so heat for it not being a pretend mountain bike with fake suspension.

cheap and nasty. avoid and spend a bit extra on something second hand

Unfortunately I reckon it's next to impossible for a novice to find their way around the second hand market- they're as likely to choose a used bike like this as something by Specialized.

If they don't have a friend who knows about bikes who can help, I reckon their best bet is to keep an eye on the deals here, and see what the views are down in the comments. (edited)

The description is a disgrace- but the bike seems like it might feasibly be OK for this price!

14 gears and no reverse? What a shame

Road and trail specific Branded tyre tyres

Even the tyres have their own tyres which surely is advanced puncture protection.

Look at the reviews. Looks like an absolute deathtrap.

If you value your life, spend a bit more and buy a good quality second-hand bike. The reviews are shocking, but they won’t dissuade people seeking a

"Became" stripped? Seems unlikely the threads got stripped just from general use...

I'm not defending dangerously shoddy bike parts, just that it seems likely it was user error in this case.
