    The key thing, in my opinion, is the watts. Certainly any of these small handheld electric rotary tools will grind down ceramic wall tiles with the correct tool in the end. There are diamond dusted ones. I've cut cobalt steel bolts. But it's quite an energy intensive process and the watts rating of the drill determines the rate at which energy can be output. Hence the market for higher wattage versions. Of course, often it's only necessary to score a ceramic tile and then put that score into tension and it will break along the score mark.

    Oh, mine is a 100W dc 12v one. Not enough.
