Don’t expect to receive a plant like that on picture. I’ve ordered magnolia, it came as a twig with two branches (it was meant to be well established) and it died. I ordered lilac, wrong colour sent. I would not use them again.

Did you contact them at all?? They seem to have plenty options if you are not happy, for example the 14 day no quibble money back guarantee. No experience myself other than I've just recently ordered from them and if anything turns up that I'm not happy with I'll at least get in touch with them....

Dreadful company. Avoid at all costs. Emailed them SEVen times about a Salix we ordered that looked like it was from Chernobyl when it arrived.

    They ignored every email.

Are these winter hardy or will they need to be protected over winter?

What are good flowering plants that don't need to be brought indoors in winter?

Hydrangeas fullly hardy bush gets bigger each year flowers last all summer and visually attractive even when flowers die over winter

I prefer going to a local garden centre and buying my plants. At least you get to see what you are getting.

You'd be lucky to find something so specific at most garden centres.

And you'd certainly be paying more than this.

Both have their place though. Garden centres are exceptionally for bedding plants for example.

    Dreadful company.

    Definitely one to avoid.

I order from them, what came doesn't match the description or the picture.

When I did manage to get through, they told me with love and care it will grow bigger... If I wanted a foot tall plant I would have bought a foot long.

This company is registered to a garden centre that closed down, and opened an online business..

Lidl were selling them for under £10 a couple of weeks ago and couple of the garden centres and nursery's in my area are also selling them for £9 at the moment so don't really think £27 after shipping is such a great deal. See the point if you don't have a garden centre near you and you want to go mail order but would much prefer to see what I am getting as my experience of ordering plants online is that your plant rarely turns into the specimen they use in their advertising.

I got 2 last year from Lidl and only lasted a season

Look at the reviews on Trust pilot.
    Avoid.

Would you normally plant something around the base of these or leave them alone?

But then again the Big Mac on McDonalds
Adds looks ok!!! Unfortunately my experience of mail order plant companies has not been the best and the reality is far from the sales pitch

I ordered some other trees and plants from them last month and was rather impressed by the quality

If you want quality and classic use Ballyrobert Gardens online shop in Northern Ireland.

Turned up today, a day late because Yodel.

A few flower heads fell off en-route, but they're a decent size and arrived looking healthy, and similar to the image.
